I'd agree that his power isn't of the earth-shattering or bone-crunching variety, being that he took Grant into such deep waters and took so long to dispose of shot old Sprott. He's still VERY strong and would be plenty dangerous for a chinny super heavyweight fighting with their chin up in the air (ie Wilder or Fury) Takam has exactly the right style to break down very tall heavies with even a shred of punch resistance issues.
True. Takam is IMO clearly TOP-10 HW now despite his recent loss. He's better than Perez (as was proven in their match and later by Povetkin), better than today's Thompson. I'd rank Wlad, Povetkin, Joshua, Jennings, Fury, and Pulev ahead of him, but he does have a chance against some of them (well, not against Wlad or Joshua). His power is rather average, but his strength, skills and workrate are good.
Yeah, that recent loss was to probably the 2nd best heavyweight on the planet and even though it ended in Takam being kayoed he was extremely competitive before that. It was on most people's list of top FOTY candidates.
Zero-snatching, forcible slumber inducing trouble. :nod[/quote] lol no doubt. This content is protected
...except for WildStyle's personal copy. He can send his elite friends the private YouTube link. :hey
I disagree that you can't rate him any higher than 11 to 15. Looking at the state of the Heavyweight division the win over Thompson alone should be enough, and I feel you can make more of a case for him, than Perez getting the win in their draw. I'd go something like: 1. Klitschko 2. Povetkin 3. Pulev 4. Fury 5. Wilder 6. Jennings 7. Takam 8. Stiverne 9. Thompson 10. Glazkov
Good matchup. I'd like to see Chambers do something other than serve as a sparring mate for the Fury camp. He's fought his share of cans over there but needs to stop marking time and make a move. This would be a good crossroads matchup.
