Smith would prob stand a better chance had he gone out there more than 5 days before fight night. If I were him I would have pitched up out there at least 4 weeks ago he won't have a bigger fight than this

Smith will get stopped late on. He's a decent talent but not a match for Canelo

If Canelo is as fast around the ring as he was on-off the scales Liam hasnt a chance! :)

Smith hasn't boxed anyone in the world top 80. Alvarez will prove too good for him.

Good point. He's not allowed enough time to adjust for for the time difference. Should have gone over earlier - but gimmee fights for Callum and Paul last Saturday prevented this.
IMO Gallagher has too many fighters. He doesn't have another trainer helping in the corner (seems to get Crolla or Quigg). Is it because he wants all the attention?

No jet lag when u fly west. Not an issue.

Joe seems a bit of a control freak. Unwilling to share the work and allow fresh input...which is badly needed.

Canelo looked close to death at the weigh in. He can't go on like this, he will end up seriously ill.

    Nonsense. He looked fine.
That's not to say he won't go to the well once too often at 154 rehydrating 25 lbs. that can't be good for him.
But I'd wager ggg could make 154 as easily or more easily than Him. Canelo is a full middleweight...one who cuts weight to 154.

I rate Liam, enjoy watching him fight... solid patient aggression coming forward on the front foot and cutting the ring off.

Goes to the body well, strong at the weight.

Would have liked for him to have been in with more solid operators in preparation for a fight against Canelo, but Liam has been chasing the bigger names they just haven't been delivered for him..... until now where he's got the biggest of all the names!

Like I said, I rate Liam... just would have liked him to have picked up more experience against world operators, Canelo has been involved in a lot of big fights so the gulf in experience will be there.

I see Canelo winning on points, but Liam's stock will rise.
