I would love for Floyd to move up to 160 for a Martinez fight. It was my #1 choice :smoke

Great, too bad he's bound to disappoint you again. Bring on Guerrero.

I still haven't gotten you to commit on my multiple choice, but I think your preference has come across clear.

Martinez was chasing Chavez and the rematch clause and is just getting off of surgery anyways sooo.

Also, I'm a fan of boxing first and foremost, I don't let boxers "disappoint me", they aren't my girlfriends nor my birthday presents

Here's the deal if you wanna fight the Mw champ of the world then fight him at 160. If you he wont fight a guy over 32 ounces then that's a ***** move. It obviously shows you don't think you have the ability to beat him unless he is not at full strength.

So you'd rather not see the fight, despite Martinez being willing to meet Floyd at any weight 154-159? That's the difference between a fan and a fanboy, one would rather come up with any excuse not to get the best (ie the most competitive) fights made.

If you would rather see a farce of a fight where a fighter got beat at the negotiation table then thats on you. I on the other hand prefer fighters not be be drained and at full strength to get a true reflection of how the fight would really play out with neither fighter having to weaken themselves. To each there own...

Do you think he's drained and disadvantaged at 158? Is there no midpoint that makes the fight makeable? I mean they are 1 division apart, and the other guy is willing to drop all the way down,. See, this is what catchweights are for, when you got humanitarians like Floyd who just would not handicap an opponent, and is probably not effective in his 6th division (few are). You find a happy medium.

Plus the guy is p4p, doesn't he get to make the decision on what his body has take? Or are only Floyd fans qualified?

As long as no championship is on the line. There shouldn't be any issues with catchweights.

158??? WTF for? At 154 he would only be fighting guys slightly smaller than Martinez anyways! Why not Just go to 160? Unless your hoping having to dehydrate further to lose the other 2 lbs will shock your opponents body and he will come in sluggish. Dont pick a fight with a MW if you cant handle a fight with a MW... its really that simple.

No doubt Floyd is not picking that fight, Martinez is picking it for him! He's been called out for the last couple of years. Martinez is not saying, you come up, he's saying I come down to your weight. If Floyd is too nice of a guy for that, meet in the middle.

If 158 bothers you so much, make it a non title fight! I don't have a problem with CWs, in fact I'd give Ward tons more credit for 172 than 168 for Dawson, but if Floyd decided to meet Sergio at 156-158 with no title at stake, I'd give him tons of credit.

ehh I think Martinez would be killing himself to make a payday. Title fight or not CWs are garbage.Respect your opinion just disagree.Think fighters are using them to gain an advantage instead of really testing themselves while others are killing themselves just to get paid.

He's a bigtime Pacfan so I'm not sure how serious you should take the debate.
