Im not tring to be an a$$ here, but look you and diabel need to understand that Diaconu isnt a name, and he isnt seen as a fighter that is going to have a big star on his chest. As of now there is no urge or groundswell for this fight outside on a few people here well actaully about 3 or 4 of you, which im sure is a scaled down from the masses...Meaning Im sure that the percentage is about the same...What does that mean??? NO ONE IS EXCITED about the fight. 1 million dollar payday isnt much, and is damn sure isnt enough to get an elite american fighter to cross the pond to fight in a guys backyard.

Diaconu was lucky to get a dec win over a clubfighter in his last outing, and that only hurt the fight that his fans seems to want.

Chad Dawson is the reason we don't have HW unification.

Well let me help you out Decebal . Dawson has been wanting Tarver ever since his sky rise up the ranks, and when Dawson was looking unbeatable, Tarver wouldn't take the fight and continued to make up excuses why not to fight him. It took until Dawson's struggle against Johnson to convince Tarver to finally take it and gain some confidence. So, Dawson vacated his WBC strap to make the fight happen, and was also ready and willing to fight Diaconu until he pulled out because of injury on the date that Dawson/Mendoza happened, so clearly he is not afraid. If he was to beat Tarver( which will most likely happen) then he and Diaconu would unify if Diaconu is interested, and not only intended to defend his title against no hoppers in Romania. If Dawson and Diaconu unified, then that winner would have WBC, IBF and IBO champion and thats most of the major titles.

This is such an UNDERSTATED fact here ON these boards. Diaconu struggled to beat Chris Henry, a relative unknown journeyman who realistically should've been perfect cannon fodder for The Shark. Instead he put Diaconu in all sorts of sh*t and Diaconu BARELY escaped with a win (quite a few Shark fans actually said it should've been a draw, not counting when Diaconu got knocked THROUGH THE ROPES in the 12th round) and yet there's the idea that Dawson is DUCKING Diaconu?

    Right.

Was Dawson a name when Adamek fought him? When the fight was signed back last year a lot of people were excited about it,actually a lot of people from ESB too.Thae payday was the biggest in Dawson's career and it ain't Dawson's fault or Diaconu's that that greedy, fat ******* Shaw didn't win the purse bid to take the figth were he wants.Henry is a good fighter, far from clubfighter.I honestly think Dawson would win if Diaconu doesn't catch him on the chin but a duck is a duck.I know you disagree but....

Listen Dawson could have fought him a number of times but refused and he could have fought him before Tarver anyway. And they can't unify cuz the WBC mandates 2 figths for a fighter who wins the title by default, the fights are:Branco and Johnson

I actually seen him tell Adamek to do all of the right things. I pacifically heard him say, put pressure on him, use your jab and simply let your hands go. Al Bernstein made a comment about Adamek having world class sparring against top southpaws for training. It was just the hand speed and talent of Dawson IMO. Adamek had never seen anyone like him and Chad had the perfect game plan.

A journeyman?Do you know what a journeyman is?He isn't undefeted for once. And the thing about the 12 round Henry DOESN'T EVEN TOUCH HIM WHEN HE GOES THROUGH THE ROPES,it's exhaustion and pushing

I agree about that, however the thing about Dawson and what he states in almost every interview that i hear him in, is the fact that he wants the big names now. In 2004, Johnson beat Jones, Tarver and Woods in the same year, and also made the pound for pound list. So that was a good win for Dawson over a world class light heavyweight that was still ranked # 3 when he beat him. He will take care all of his mandatory when/if he beats Tarver, the fight that he has been wanting for years.

Why big names? He is 26,he has the whole time in the world, anyway don't know who the IBF mandatory is,it is unranked I think. And there will be someone in his future that will come and KO him

He wants the big fights so he can make the good cash and get even bigger fights down the line. Listen closely to this interview, because he is saying the exact same things that i am. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AooYHdMRIlg
Also, you WANT someone to come and knock him out, rather or not that will happen remains to be seen because i personally don't see it happening anytime soon, unless he gets cocky and bangs with his opponent the way he did with Johnson, but he has made some tactical adjustments in training and should be back to his old form. What i don't get is the hate that people have for him? Hes a young star, hes has power, speed, obvious boxing ability and is exciting.

Who did Henry ever beat to make him a legitimate contender? He also gave him life and death, and was close to knocking him down in the last 2 rounds. I really don't how how they rank Henry in the top 10, because he hasn't beaten anyone and he looks like an exciting marketable fighter, which is why he is ranked so high. I remembering Dawson fighting opponents like Harding and Gardner to get where he is.
