Whenever I discuss Pavlik with Americans they like to point ot Pavlik's elite wins in Taylor 1 and 2. But hey - like the wind I guess..

    OK, another angle then...

Tell us why you think Taylor has NEVER called Kessler out, while Kessler has called Taylor out many times? Why would Taylor rather fight limited Lacy than a top dog in the division?

Why has Pavlik never called Kessler out while Kessler has called Pavlik out? Why would Pavlik rahter fight Lockett than Kessler?

    And so on...

Think about it. And then chose the obvious answer (which usually is the right one) and not some constructed reality answer.

Your backdown and concession is accepted.

I knew you would see the light, once I explained it a bit more clearly.

Now I just have to explain evolution a bit better in the lounge, and you'll be one of Darwin's disciples before you know it, my man !:good

Lol what the hell are you talking about. Both Hopkins, Dawson and Taylor have called out or sought fights with Kessler. Dont go peddling bull**** that Kessler has attempted to make a fight with any one of these guys. :rofl I have never heard one word of Kessler attempting to call out kessler, Pavlik is attempting to make a fight with Abraham, a European who isnt afraid to fight the best.

Yeah, it is surprising that the 6'3" Dawson might contemplate getting down to 168 again. It has been more than three years since he fought below 175. He's stronger and more muscled then when he was 19-23 years of age. He's young (it would be impossible for an older guy to pull it off without real consequence) but I think he would really suffer getting there. Maybe he can still pull it off one time for one big fight. If he can get there without killing himself and be fit on fight night, he would be a living nightmare for Kessler.

Kessler wasn't very impressive versus Mundine and didn't make good use of his size/relative youth/power versus Calzaghe. Kessler's recent comp is no kind of preparation for Dawson. If Adamek (who is very decent - and I don't ascribe to the excuse Adamek wasn't healthy and weight-drained - he looked very strong and fit and better than in any of his prior fights physically) could do so poorly against Dawson then Kessler might get straight out stopped as he hasn't fought anyone like Dawson.

The crystal clear knock on overrated fighters like Kessler & Calzaghe is that they are always fighting under favorable conditions and as the more talented or athletic man in the ring. They almost never fight more talented men and if they do, it is when that fighter has been recently defeated or is at the end of a long career (i.e, they are OLD). Dawson's hand speed would be completely unlike anything Kessler has ever seen (that includes JC who, while quick, has negligible leverage on his punches and one of the poorest TKO/KO records imaginable - if you remove Sheika (who lost on a ref's stoppage for a cut in the 5th - completely pissed off) and Mitchell (who dropped Joe in a wild round and was dropped himself and then the ref (Parris) made a very arguable (ridiculous) stoppage as Mitchell stumbled with 15 seconds to go in the round), Joe has stopped NO ONE in his entire career, not a single fighter of note. It has to be said that Dave Parris has worked on Frank Warren fights for at least twenty years as a ref and a judge so you can figure why the quick hook was employed on Mitchell - after Joe had been dropped for the first time in his career in that round). Kessler would not be the taller, bigger fighter he has been for nearly all of his fights bar the Andrade fight. He would not be the better athlete and Dawson's handspeed would be something completely unfamiliar.

I don't believe Kessler would be satisfied with a 50/50 purse to lay it on the line against the kind of threat Dawson would pose. This fight isn't gonna happen. It will take other unforeseen events to occur in the interim for this fight to ever come about. Kessler can always have this fight at 175 in the next couple years. I just don't believe he would want any part of Dawson, not now, maybe not ever. Hopefully, events will force this bout to occur. I can see a lot of ways it never ever comes about. Lots of easy pickens out there. Look at Abraham, has really good power, but his record is a who's who of undeserving fighters getting title bouts with him. That recipe has served Kessler very well to date. Why screw that up by fighting a guy taller, faster, and younger who might post insurmountable problems?

Another person that thinks he has a clue.

It's not a matter of what Kessler wants or chooses to do. If he decides to go and fight Chad Dawson or anybody else he would be unable to box for 2 years from the time of no longer being ranked by an ABC for breach of contract.

tffp ive seen a lot of bull**** spouted by people on here who claim to know the law and wats going on in the situation but u seem to have an idea of whats going on

i take it palle has a legal block on kessler boxing anywhere in the world under the auspices of one of the main sanctioning bodies?

if so, could kessler not box in catchwegihts until he is free or pursue the option of fighting for the IBO.

another question i have regarding this is jurisdiction. i can understand palle being able to pull this in europe, under EU articles such as the free movement of workers and goods (even then its legally questionable) but how can he legally bar kessler from fighting in thr US?

Dawson is only a part time fighter, when he is in the mood. Kessler fights all 12 rounds. Kessler should call out that bum. It will get him some publicity and if Dawson is silly enough to accept, it will be an easy win.

Narrowly favour Kessler. But they're well matched.

Dawsons work to the body could cause problems but he's just not active enough. Both very good fighters but just short of elite imo.

Kessler close ud with a knockdown swinging the vote for him.

You mean the same Kessler who tunred down Dawson saying he was too big?:rofl:lol:Kessler is the most overrated boxer here at ESB the guy hasn't beat anyone since 2007 yet he beats a talent like Dawson who has been fighting top talent....please.:-( Dawson would tee off on that robot from all angles and bust his ass up. I would favor both Johnson and Tarver over his overrated ass any day. The very fact that he's leading this poll proves that most people on ESB don't know **** about boxing.:deal This guy needs to step up and beat someone of note in order to be even considered in the same class as Dawson.
