yea tito walks around at a high weight he made the weight quite ok! why do u rate dawson above jones when all he fought was a sluggish adamek!

Jones would seriously beat dawson on points as his boxing skills would leave dawson exposed in to many areas , damn maybe we should be talking about jeff lacy vs chad dawson tht fight would be more even!

That's was a fight that really mattered but I have seen other fights of him and don't understand the hype, he's short on skills.

You need to watch more of a fighter before making such erroneous comments on them. Adamek is a skilled come forward puncher. I would venture to say more skilled than Johnson, especially this version of him. He was UNABLE to pressure Dawson because he is a 6'3 slick and skilled boxer (a southpaw at that) with good handspeed and perhaps better footspeed. He couldn't get close enough to him to hit him and was getting counted when he did. It wasn't that "when he decided to fight him he knocked him down". That's a little convenient and not in context of the fight. When Dawson finally got careless enough to get close and let his guard down a bit, Adamek caught him. Adamek had been trying that ALL NIGHT. He tried it against AFTER the KD and for the next 2 rounds, and Dawson just outboxed him some more, and in my estimation even stunned Adamek.

Johnson will have the same problems. He presents style problems for flat footed fighters, but is not a great fighter by any stretch of the imagination. And Dawson is not flat footed. He won't be able to get to him and will eat his jab all night.

You seem to have decided that Adamek wasn't very good, instead of giving credit to Dawson for how good he is.

I give all the credit to Dawson. I suggest you rewatch the fight and then tell me if Adamek didn't just let Dawson have his ways with him. That's not how a champion is supposed to fight, it was a performance unworthy of a champion.

a guess we will find out within the year!

but a will remember ya name Assassin so when jones does win a fight with a top contender then a will come back n say told ya!

Jones says he is back to his best n he feels confident in his abilitys again his problems relied on drmatic weight loss before fights causing his power lowerd n his speed effected!, n yea JONES WILL BEAT DAWSON , dawson wouldnt land clear on jones while jones connects with fancy jabs winning clear rounds early on through to round 9 before dawson takes the later rounds through roy lagging through fatigue,

hows tht so hard to belive! like a said give dawson jeff lacy! they are more in the same league

Dawson has good skills but he's still inexperienced and can be vulnerable. Dawson did his job, but Adamek could have surely done a lot more. Adamek simply showed the kind of champion he really was.

C HOP, you my friend, are on drugs.

Roy beating Tito is NOT impressive, AT ALL! Not even kind of.

Roy is nowhere near active enough in the ring to hang with Chad.

    Dawson TKO10 Jones...or Dawson UD12 Jones.

Please, stop!! You sound like a f*cken ******.

Dawson wouldn't land clear on Jones?
Gimme a break, he'd land anything he would want on Roy.

    Dawson whips 2008 Roy.

I think Roy knows better to get into the ring with the likes of Bad Chad Dawson. A prime Roy would beat him but this version of him gets stopped.

Yes, lets dismiss those fights where he went blood and guts with Briggs. Being outboxed shows he was never good to begin with and a coward to boot:?:patsch

I am a bigger Jones fan than you are. I am FROM Pensacola, FL. I defend Jones more than nearly anyone on this board. But there is a difference between being a fan and delusional. Jones is not back. That guy that fought Trinidad last weekend was NOT Roy Jones Jr. And it's an insult to him that you compare the 2008 version with anything resembling his prime.

Those are the only fights Adamek can excel in, with limited fighters that make it easy for him and stay right in front of him.

Kinda like Johnson that way isn't he?

But your statement has little to do with what I was saying. It still showed he had heart.
