Conveniently, you leave out Hopkins who was the biggest scalp of all of them at the time having dominated Tarver and fought two close fights with Taylor. Jeff Lacy was also massively touted over here. Johnson? Joe would have gotten the same amount of credit as he did for beating Sheika, who was on the same level Johnson was- which is to say, not that much. Had he fought anyone else from that list, it looks like you would've done the same thing you did with Hopkins there and subbed in the next US contender/champ. There's always someone next. Heads, Calzaghe loses, tails you win. Proof? Taking the names you listed, none of them have more than 3 fights amongst each other. Hopkins has 5 against that list, including the Pavlik fight, yet you leave him off- probably because Joe beat him on Hopkins' turf, with Hopkins' ref.
Well son "almost" means ****all unless were playing horseshoes:deal Drag queen? She's a hot piece of ass I get pm's on every day about "who is she?" "where does she live?" "Have you ****ed her?"
Now this is a fight I would like to see. I would say at this point, it's a 50/50. At a minimum, he would probably do better than Hopkins or Jones, and do more for Calzaghe's legacy than Pavlik. If (when) he beats Tarver, and if Joe gets past Roy, this would be a good finale for Cardiff.
Joe kills him probably KOs him in the late rounds and after the fight Joe as part of charity teaches Dawson to read, maybe some Berenstein Bear books
Now now I wouldn't go that far, although some people are overrating Dawson. His match against Tarver will answer a lot of questions about him. And if he beats Tarver convincingly I would say he's ready for Calzaghe.
Lol, why is Glenn Johnson on the list? It obviously didn't impress you when Calzaghe stopped a touted American who had just beaten Johnson in his last fight, but we're supposed to believe that beating Johnson himself would have done? Taylor? This is the guy who could have fought Froch but decided not to as he wasn't sure he would win, and is instead fighting the same Jeff Lacy that Calzaghe already ruined. Lacy, of course, having been a highly touted American fighter. Therein lies the simple answer to your question. Calzaghe has fought fighters that were touted in America 'like' the ones you name. By simple virtue of him doing so and beating them you then decide that they weren't very good afterall and find another name to add to your 'why didn't he fight list'. That's what happens when you start with a conclusion and work backwards to find justification for it.
He dosent fight them because everytime you give him an American he chews them up! In his last 3 fight he fought two Americans 'The Next Tyson' who he couldnt beat under and circumstance because he was too strong and couldnt take his power and of course Bernard who he couldnt beat going up in weight against a P4P ring belt holder. To be honest we in Europe get sick of you Americans making your few hopes in boxing to be something special. If he beat all the guys above in his next 5 fights you would then claim some other American bum needed to be beaten before Joe gained your respect. You are simply an Anglophobe who refuses to aknowledge him as great because he dosent have a US passport.
I'll give Dawson a little more credit if he gives Johnson a rematch and actually beats him this time.
Dawson was ready to fight Diaconu.......... the ugly little midget hurt his pinky or some **** and pulled out of the fight. Dawson went on to fight and beat Johnson and is now lined up to face Jones worst nightmare, Tarver. Now answer this you delusional ****, who has the midget ever fought? Nobody. That's the answer, ****ing nobody. Diaconu is such a scary puncher that he's almost knocked out half of the bums he has fought What a joke, you and the fugly midget who almost got beaten by some guy named Henry :rofl
