The fact Ruiz is getting a shot at the winner is obviously a disgrace - fortunately the sanctioning bodies don't have any credibility to lose.
Now it's not as if Chagaev has great foot-work but I think he can use just enough movement to throw Valuev off his game.
I thought Valuev was improving when he shut-out Lyakhovich (I picked him to lose that one) but his performance against Holyfield showed me he's still an awkword, clumsy, poor heavyweight.

Have a feeling Chagaev will be robbed now that Sauerland won the purse bid..

We should do a petition to ban the WBA belt. Seriously it's a joke.

Chagaev is the goods. But he needs to stop chasing this bull**** title.

Amen brotha! Although the winner should fight Vitali and the loser retire. That way we start getting somewhere again in the HW division.

Chagaev should win again if he has anything left.

What has he done to prove he's the goods? Here's what he's done since 2006:

    - Knocked out cruiserweight journeyman Rob Calloway
    - Barely edged Vladimir Virchis, who was subsequently blown out by JC Gomez
    - KOed Michael Sprott in a dreadful fight, while Sprott has gone 3-3 against so-so competition since then
    - Barely edged old John Ruiz, who's lost more than he's won lately and whose best win in the part 5 years if over old Jameel McCline
    - Barely edged Valuev, who later should have lost to an ancient Holyfield, and who arguably lost to both Donald and Ruiz
    - Struggled with 42 year old Matt Skelton, who just got knocked out by a reality show star
    - Struggled against Carl Davis Drumond, getting outboxed at the times when Drumond wasn't too lazy to throw punches, and escaped with a BS stoppage on a cut that shouldn't have been a problem

Maybe he's one of those guys who would cause a lot of fighters problems, but he's hardly "the goods".

Came on to this thread happy the WBA belt issue would be resolved and then I got reminded of Ruiz being the winner's mandatory. Now I've lost all interest in this fight. **** the WBA.

he beat vladimir virchis and nikolai valuev comfortably. they always try to rob chagaev. matt skelton makes everyone look bad it is just his style. ruslan looked ok against drumond but just he came off all these injuries and a big layoff. let him shake off the ring rust and he should be fine
