I saw his last fight against Meehan, he seemed to back him up a lot and was landing that straight left hand up the middle at will.

Wasn't impressed with him tonight nor his condition.

Hopefully this farce of a fight won't happen.

Maybe Wlad has turned into a Felix Trinidad and has started wrecking people.... I don't know :think

If Sky had any principles they'd block this one.

I think the version of Chag Wlad fought wasn't much better than the one we saw tonight.
I remember watching Chagaev against Drummond after his injury lay off and he looked terrible. This was before he fought Wlad.

It is the Ruiz/Valuev/Chagaev WBA alphabelt that Haye currently holds so proudly. In a way thank the lord for Audley Harrison.. his fight with Haye was the only one in the last 5 years for a WBA Heavyweight title that didn't include one of those other three!

And some people think Haye deserves more than 50/50 against Wlad because "he's a champion now as well"

Yeah usually he has a good judge of distance for the straight shots. He seemed happy enough to be pushed back by Walker for some reason. I hadn't seen him get pushed back as much as that before besides the Wald fight.

Conditioning was shocking which was a bit of a shock as he is usually a 12 round fighter. Bit of a **** take that he only had to beat Meehan to get number 1 challenger spot :patsch

    :lol::lol::lol:

The sad thing is that it sounds plausible...

The fight was pretty short notice if I remember correctly though which may explain Chag looking fleshy and gassed

Interviewer: Ruslan, are you ready for David Haye?
    Audience: Hah, hah, ha
Chagaev (in broken German - after a LONG break): yes, laugh

Universum shows have went down hill fast. I know they lost half their stable and their TV contract but this is a bit low.

This golden Jack guy is on his way to the ring anyone seen him before?

what is the script with them and their fighters?

I forget who it was, but one of them said he wouldn't fight again for them and would wait until his contract expired.

Strum said they were **** basically and were over protecting him and left. Can't remember if it was Dzinzurik or Karmazin always get them mixed up but one of them said basically the same thing. Some of the Universum title defenses were wild though and didn't they get Gevor to pull out of the Zbik fight to fight Sartison to keep Zbik with his title? Ridiculous seeing as how bad Zbik is compared to Gevor.

This Jack is as unorthodox as they get but his defence isn't as sharp as he thinks it is.

I don't think Chagaev ever came back from the injury right, he never looked as sharp or as fast. Even against Wlad he never looked like had any speed to get past the jab.

Bit of a poor showing from Culcay so far. Needs to sit down on his shots some more as he clearly isn't discouraging the Bulgarian at all. Letting himself get caught far too many times despite his superior speed and movement.

Looks to have a style that might not work at the top of the pro ranks.

Have to see how he develops in the next year.
