The only pressure on Spider is to win. Same as for any other fight, including when he beat Sonnen first time around :good
Beat worse? Sure, nobody had been as dominant. But he wasn't really beaten up. He lost almost all of the fight, yet he left without a scratch or a bruise, and was injured coming in. This time he's most likely gonna be looking for a KO, rather than a sub.
The surprise was him getting in his face. Nobody, other than Sonnen expected him to do that standing. Anderson now knows that Sonnen is capable of doing that when Anderson has his hands down waiting for a takedown. It was the best 23 minutes Sonnen has fought his whole career, and it still wasn't enough. Can he duplicate that, but for 25 minutes? Anderson always knows he can beat him. Sonnen just thinks he can.
Oh, god...every time Silva decides to showboat it ends up being a shitty fight. :-( I hope he comes to fight instead of showcasing his various taunts.
It's just the non-stop trash that Sonnen talked and got under Silva's skin. Spider was always a calm, cool, calculated assassin and goes about his business the same way everytime. Sonnen gave us thrills the first time and will probably again, but Anderson is just one complete fighter to just beat.
Has trash talk proven to make the actual fight more entertaining? Style wise Sonnen is a pretty good matchup for anderson, but I still think Silva takes it. Submission probably by the second round.
Holy **** if he carries through! Eagerly anticipating a prolonged beating like Tyson-Biggs. :rofl :shake
