    Does anyone know:

Which fighter has had the most unsuccessful world title challenges before becoming a champion? Jersey Joe Walcott had 4 before winning the Heavyweight title and German Torres was at 4 I think before he won at Light Flyweight but I am not sure if this is the record?

    AND

Which fighter has had the most unsuccessful world title challenges without ever winning a title? I know there are a few fighters with 4 failed bids such as Yaqui López but I had a vague feeling there may have been a fighter in the lighter weights with 5 or 6 misses? Anyone know who?

Mitsunori Seki had five challenges unsuccesfully for the world title. One at flyweight and 4 at featherweight.
