Lara does a good deal of running but Canelo's body shots break him down. If it turns into a fire fight, Canelo douses him. Charlo looked the better of these two in all honesty. I think they don't like to bang because their chins are suspect. They stayed at a distance the whole session almost.

They stayed at distance because its a sparring session.

Most fighters dont "bang" in sparring sessions.

not sure what gyms you have been to but unless your just starting out most gyms go pretty hard on eachother after the first 1 or 2 rounds. they just refrain from jumping on a hurt opponent. iv seen this at 3 diff gyms iv regularly trained at

    Regular guys maybe.

Top level fighters, usually are just trying to work on something specific for that day.

Theres nothing to be gained by going all guns blazing, except for the rare occasion.

    Werll, thats a rarity so.

Top level pros VERY rarely go all out against each other

Most heated sessions rarely get filmed, because that's when most coaches tell you to cut the cameras off.

For the record, Charlo is the WORST possible style for Lara.

It's hard enough to go up against a tall opposite handed fighter that can box, and is rangy, but it's especially hard if your instinct is to run.

That would be the worst fight in the history of boxing.

Lara would just keep away for 12 rounds, losing every round on the scorecard because he is reluctant to engage.

Granted, if he did engage, it COULD be a very difficult fight, depending on how Charlo responds to aggressive adversity.

But Lara would have a lot of distance to cover.

I don't see how this relates to Canelo though. Canelo is not a 6'2'' fighter with a long jab.

People make too much out of sparring.
