The fight has not yet been officially confirmed. Apparently, Toney is still negotiating over money terms.
You know what, you're probably right, but I'd still love to see it. Chisora would probably win but Charr would go out on his shield, probably bleeding and cursing. Would be an entertaining slugfest :yep
Im amazed he did , i thought it would have been a half decent payday , certainly a lot better than he got for Prizefighter
He still has the know-how and those long-ingrained defensive instincts, but the reflexes and his ability to execute and get his body to obey him in a timely manner are not what they were. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo1lIiXAVPw&feature=player_detailpage#t=640 He isn't exactly untouchable now. Granted, this is Gavern we are taking about, so he was only able to exploit the holes with grazing shots and if Toney was indeed hurt (difficult to really say, and he is certainly a savvy enough veteran to never let on if he was) then he recovered quickly - but Charr is significantly more dangerous (fitter, stronger, less sloppy) than Gavern, even if not exactly Wladimir Klitschko himself.
Certainly not. The Charr meting is very small meeting and involves a small purse for Toney. Still, disappointing to see that Toney has declined the offer as Charr is such a highly ranked contender. In fact, I doubt that Toney will get another opportunity like that again.
Yeah. For all his talk over the last decade of chasing down the "*****-KO sisters" you would think he would pounce on something like this which could be a gateway if he pulled it off.
Boytsov was an excellent win, but should one excellent win be all it takes absent even a halfway decent recent secondary win?
