The game plan was to wait until the second half of the fight and then make big pressure. Vitali did not hurt Charr... so I think he was able to take some punishement befor making big pressure. He had some good shots at Vitali in the 4 round. For me Charr is a little bit better than Chisora. Chisora has even a more terrible punching technique than Charr. He slaps many of his punches and even makes these weird from up punching down punches where he just hits his opponents with the inside glove. Also all these looping hands are really easy to avoid. All in all Charr could make a better fight than Chisora. WHo really did not looked very good for me. Although he had some success. For me Haye is also very very overrated at heavyweight! His best win was Chisora and maybe paper champ Valuev. So why do so many people think Haye is a big deal at heavyweight? But at the end the best fight would be Pulev against HAye... But I doubt that this happens.
Berliner- You say Haye is overrated, saying his best HW win is Chisora. Yet you're telling us that Charrr is underrated, when his best HW is 49 year old Danny Williams in a fat man contest, with one of the worst stoppages in ages. Just because people don't think Haye will struggle to beat the tubby Lenonese sightseer doesn't mean he is overrated. It just means that they think Charr isn't any good at all. The only person here over rating anything is you, and that's Charr. Perhaps John H is overrating Cambridge's airports, but that's another story.
His best win is NOT Danny Willams! But who cares about the stoppage? Willams lost the all the rounds before the stoppage so who cares about it? or do you want to tell me Willams won a single round?:tired I have to "hype" up Charr here! Because people seem to think Haye is a special heavyweight who would have easy work with most heavyweights... I mean Chisora did pretty good until he got caught. Also the stoppage was not good for me! Chisora was on his feet (by 8 seconds) and the Round was over so why not let Chisora take a rest on his stool? The round was over anyway. And for me believe it or not Charr is not worse than Chisora. So I think Charr vs Haye would be an exciting match to watch. And not the easy walk in the park (Chisora was everything but not easy) for Haye. I dont see anything wrong in my opinion! I dont say Charr will win this! Because at the end he will be too slow. I say it could end in an exciting heavyweight fight. Now you can go on and say Haye would blast out Charr in 3 Rounds with Charr having no chance at all. I dont see this happening.
Another 8 paragraphs since Berliner said he's 'done here'. Berliner - I'm not sure if you're mistaken, but this is east side boxing forum, not the Manny Charr fan club forum.
Berliner's argument for Charr being good is that lot if people say he's not, and that he was going to do something he never did against Vitali Klitschko. Berliner. Who has Charr beat who is better than any of these: - Monte Barrett - SNV - John Ruiz - Derek Chisora I'm not saying they're great fighters - but who has Charrrr beat who is better?
Maybe 16 and 0 Olunkun! Back then a good heavyweight prospect for Universum. He shold not have won this fight against Olunkun and was just seen as stepping stone for the african. Williams is clearly NOT his best win.
I like to upset in saying Haye could have a competitive fight against Charr. Some Haye fans cant handle it. So now I am done here (for real)! We will all see next week (I hope) wich opponent Haye will fight and how the fight ends. But dont think that I think Charr could win. I just say he could have a competitive fight against HAye like Chisora did until he got caught.
I find people forget how talented Haye is quite often on this site. Seen it happen in every Heavyweight fight he's had (bar Wlad obviously). Haye would make short work of Charr.
