Chavez gaining 20 lbs - new record?

Has Chavez with gaining 20 pounds after the weigh in set a new record? I know that Glen Johnson weighed 193 for Cloud, Daniel Santos once gained 19 pounds. But I can't think of anyone that has managed to gain 20 pounds like Julio Cesar "The Sponge " Chavez.

 

Clottey was 170 for a WW fight against Diego Corrales. They both weighed in at 149, so 21lbs.

I would tend to agree. Didn't he use one just a year or two ago?

 

The same person (let's be honest it's me) believes so.

 

I'd have to look around to verify but I seem to recall Gerald McClellan putting on weight in this range.

Scott Harrison used to put on huge amounts of weight post weigh in, and considering he was a 126lb fighter, to put on as much as he did was phenomonal

 

its not unheard of...shane mosley was known to come in at close to 20 lbs heavier at LW..
