you dont really believe that do you? going upstairs and then downstairs in rapid-fire succession? the transformation of chavez from zbik(horrible) to lee(devastating) is nothing short of incredible. i have yet to read one boxer, manager or trainer being critical of jr. and proclaiming the sm fight is a mismatch. not one.
Jr tko 8-11 Hard fight for both ... jrs chin heart and power and size will carry him trough don'tforget the body work! Can't wait.
I don't kno if he is overrated but I don't like him at all and he has his fair share of dick riders. It would be great if Martinez beats his ass.
Can someone bump the Chavez-Martinez avatar bet? I'd like to know whos gonna get some cute avatar after the fight....
Andy Lee TKO 7- Lost to Brian Vera via TKO in 7 4 years prior but won via UD 3 years later. Brian Vera of course was stopped of course by James Kirkland AND Jaidon Cordingtom. Andy Lee was winning the fight early on but the Referee later intervened stopping the bout. Marco Antonio Rubio UD - Rubio whilst being a hard hitter can not be hit hard himself losing by stoppage to Kelly Pavlik in 2009. Chavez came into the bout 20 lbs above 160 on fight night and refused to give a sample for testing. Scorecards : 116-112, 115-113,118-110. Peter Manfredo Jr TKO 5 - Whilst being small for 168, Manfredo is also a small middleweight. Managed to put chavez on the backfoot on occasion and lost to a similar fashion to Joe Calzaghe with the referee intervening Sebastian Zbik UD - Whilst being given the WBC belt on a platter, Zbik managed to push the fight and could have gone either way despite then going onto get stopped Felix Sturm (not known for being a big puncher) who had looked bad in his previous 2 fights and lost his next bout. (Controversial win over Macklin, Draw V Murray and Loss V Geale) So yeah mix this in with his lazy attitude and youve got yourself set up for what looks like a Martinez win
whats up man , love that avy hey who are you going for in the canelo josesito fight , i love both fighters ,i cant choose :think
Martinez on the other hand looks like this in his last 4 bouts : Mathew Macklin TKO 11 - Whilst slow at first Martinez hurt Macklin on many occasions sending him down twice in round 11 heavily prompting the corner to stop the fight due to the swelling and cut on Macklins face. Macklin previously lost to Felix Sturm in controversial points decision whilst Sturm managed to stop Zbik as for mentioned previously Darren Barker TKO 11 - Undefeated European champion, Barker was the same as Zbik in terms of level yet Martinez was slow starting but picked it up to stop him in 11. Serhiy Dzinzuruk TKO 8 - Complete domination of a WBO champion at 154, whilst the size may have been an issue Martinez dropped the undefeated challenger 5 times Paul Williams TKO 2 - After losing a controverisal decision first time round, Martinez took it out of the judges hands landing a picture perfect shot and not only stopping Williams but knocking him unconscious. Williams of course was a former welterweight champion holding wins over Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana, Kermit Cintron and Ronald Wright standing at 6'1 Not to mention other notable wins including What should have been a KO win against Kermit Cintron What should have been a decision win against Paul Williams A great Performance VS Kelly Pavlik to win the WBO/WBC Middleweight belts
