I concur, with this, I was looking forward to see him improve and actually rooting for him, as I think some times kid's of legends don't get a fair shake, as many times they are seen as spoiled, or privileged. What I don't like about Chavez Jr, where he lost me, is the Sergio Martinez ducking, and the lame ass excuse he uses that Sergio brings nothing to the table, and he is the name boxer.....He has a name, his daddy's.......Don Jose, has turned the WBC (once legit) into a Tijuana Donkey Show........I won't watch any Chavez Jr, bout until he fights with Sergio Martinez......His career, his terms, but my choice and I am choosing with my wallet to spend my money and support other Boxers in PPV, and tickets.
I'm not excited he won the fight but a win is a win...I just wonder how much longer are they going to allow him to fight "C" class fighters ! I must admit he's starting to look a little better in the ring, using different tactics and movements.
I always predicted that he would beat Rubio. I always said though that the weight advantage would be the main reason. I believe this was the main reason. I accept that JCCJR has improved and have advocated it myself. He gets unfair criticism. That said - I don't rate him in the top 10 at 160 but yeh I'd have him in top 20.

We disagree on yet another thing. He is coming in at Crusierweight and is fighting normal sized middleweights like Rubio, He's gonna beat them, No ****. Lets see him at 168-175 where he belongs. Anyone who fights he should make sure he gets tested for peds and has weigh ins the day of the fight. I am not taking away all credit for the Rubio win, He proved he had a good chin and he bet an arguably top 10-15 Middleweight, Which is good, But if he doesn't move up soon I am gonna bash him about that. He also seems suspicious not leaving a urine sample for testing after the Rubio fight. Not accusing him of using peds but the way he bulked up over night is very odd. Ward, Bute Hopkins, maybe even Cloud/Kessler and all the other top guys at 168-175 I believe beat him as of now. But we'll see hopefully. Martinez beats him but then again he is small. Never know but Chavez Jr's size advantage is too big. Put all that aside he is top 5 at Middleweight.

On neutral ground I have your ifghters ranked 7 -10 all beating chavez Jr. Not to mention Gegor Proksa, and I'd even say Darren Barker could beat him. I would say he could beat Geale though.
Freddy, if his name was Jason Chavers and he hailed from southern Connecticut, you wouldn't give him a second look. Sergio? Please. Martinez's hand and foot speed would frustrate the hell out of JCC.
if he was as badass as chavez jr then hell ya i would give him a 2nd look... if barker can last 11, and dzin 8, i'm sure chavez can make the final bell, and atleast make it a great fight....
