Martinez should fight Canelo first. He's the supposed tougher fight and bigger name of the two. Isn't Martinez supposed to be aiming for a great super legacy? Isn't Martinez supposed to be angling for a Pacquiao fight? He should start getting his weight down below 160 then. This doesn't even make sense for Martinez to do. His opponent won't give him any credibility when he wins and the money isn't even there yet.
Don't know what you guys are complaining about. Everyone and their momma knows Chavez Jr isn't ready for Martinez. Everyone at Top Ranks already knows that. If I was his handler, I sure as hell wouldn't match him w/ Martinez. Chavez Jr is just a bottom ten contender, at best. He may have a title, but he's not a champ and everyone knows he's not. If you don't recognize him as the world champ, don't hold him to that type of expectation.
nobody is forced to buy those ppv cards it they put him there is because he sells is not his fault mexicans are buying into the hype he sells more than some top level fighters and thats a shame but thats also boxing... :hat
What do you care of he's on PPV's anyway? :huh And his defenses, they are just fights. Ignore his belt if you don't see him as the MW World champ. He's just a contender w/ a title. If you don't see him at the World champ, don't give his title any more legitimacy by adhereing him to the standards of the World Champ.
