I had Sweet pea winning that fight 7 rounds to 5. with Chavez's rounds being closer and Peas rounds being less close.

Might also be the silent minority who feel if they say what they think in regards to that fight, that they'll get shitted on. I will say this, Its the first fight the Chavez wasn't purely dominating as well as the fact that many wanted him to loss. Dont matter Chavez beat taylor and Taylors people didn't want an immediate rematch. Duva didn't even want sweat Peas name being mentioned along with Chavez either during this period.

Im not acusing you, but many on here do there homework based on YouTube and go about history based on what other forum members say even though at times what a member says might be biased toward other fighters. I remember the actual fights, respectable offical articals and Pure knowledge of the game.

Good for you. The fact that you were at a fight doesn't mean you're more qualified to judge it's outcome than someone who does watch it on Youtube to be honest. Anyone who can score a fight can score a fight.

Research is research, any way you slice it. Some were there at the time of certain events, some read about them and saw them in later times. Knowledge is knowledge, as long as it's not skewed. Either way, this debate has zero substance. I don't even remember what is being argued right now.

Everything doesn't always have to be an argument. These forums are intended for discussions. :) But Getting your info soley from youtube and ESB members who CAN be Biased at times to Certain boxers when it comes to remembering boxing History isnt what I call the most qualified (not saying I am but compared to some on this forum i am ).

I do agree that anyone can score a fight in boxing and that is why we have so many b.S. decisions like that one judge who had JCC jr winning all the rounds.

Like I said with Pit, it depends on what the judges are looking for and how they precieve things.

    For example

Look at the DLH FMJ fight.

    DLH obviously the aggressor
Floyd obviously the counter puncher or aggressee however you want to call it.

does the judge see the aggressor pressing the fight to the ropes and the aggressor getting his shots off, making the fight?

or does the judge see this

The counter puncher baiting the aggressor into traps by simply allowing him to miss and counter?

Do the judges look at it as Floyd countering or reacting to what DLH does?:think

    Or

Do they see that it is DLH who is falling for the traps missing shots while being countered?

Who really has control here? it depends on that judge in that moment, he cant go back and re score the fight a day later he can only score what he sees that moment in that round.

perhaps we will never know with that fight, simply because the judges scored the fight a single point SD victory for the red corner, yet Mayweather Jr was announced the winner but fought out of the blue corner.
but its like I said its what those officials see or how they precieve the fight to be going

Lots of factors when it comes to judging fights and what the judge likes to see. That is why boxing will always be controversial.

all haters keep bringing up the '85 bums/cab driver' **** everytime, but what they dont realize is that chavez isn't rated so high because of them but because of the elite fighters he beat.

honestly speaking scar doesn't usually go off like he did here, something is odd.

Yes. I feel he's hype up because of his long winning streak.

I'm not saying he's not an ATG. I feel he is overrated. I feel a lot of the past fighters are overrated and udnerrated but it's all on what you agree on. You think Chavez was really really great. I just see him as great. You probably feel SRL was the best of the Fab 4. I think Hagler was.

    All opinion.
