Do you Dislike boxers automatically if they have a glass jaw?

I understand, I wasn't a huge fan of Paul's, thought his style was ugly. what paul did have was heart.

I don't know if Garcia will be the one to do it, but I am looking forward to making money off of khan's feeble mandible one day!

No, in fact, many Glass Jawed Boxers are highly entertaining. Two of my favorites of all-time were Hearns and Morrison because they had huge power and Fragile Glass Mandibles. You pretty much KNEW that someone was going to get brutally KOed.

Could you rank the following fighters based on their punch resistance,

    Muhammed Ali
    Joe Frazier
    George Foreman
    Ken Norton
    Ron Lyle
    Larry Holmes
    Earnie Shavers

Although i wouldn't regard myself as a master chinchecker per se, i'd like to posit that there is an aspect to knockdowns that seems oft overlooked by the well-known chincheckers on ESB. Please read...

Knockdowns as we all know do not happen solely on the basis of strength of chin. As i see it there are 3 main types of knockdown.

    1) A KD where the fighter is clearly hurt. (one-punch or accumulated)
    2) A balance or motion related knockdown. e.g. Hamed Kelley
    3) A KD where the fighter has not seen the punch coming e.g. Froch Taylor

I would argue that only KD type number 1 is directly indicative of chin. Most of Marquez's knockdowns have been a mixture of type 2 and 3 knockdowns. They have occurred when he is coming forward trying to land something himself. In other words, his agressive style leaves himself open to certain types of knockdowns. It is not that his chin is weak or, as others have stated (incorrectly in my humble opinion) that he simply has incredible powers of recovery. The KD's he has suffered (with exceptions of course) are mainly balance and motion related. The fact that he has never been KO'd attests to that fact and i would say he has one of the best chins in the game. Another example is Prince Naz who had an iron jaw but suffered 2 or 3 KDs in the Kelley fight. So we can see that there are many complicated aspects of chinchecking that are not always acknowledged by the experts :deal

  7. Did Wladimir's Chin become Iron?

he haven't been knocked down lately

  8. You are a ****** hater just for asking that question

Lewis took massive punches IN THE FLAG SHIP DIVISION . THE HW.

And only went down twice. Offically knocked out once. Since he made the count against Mccall.

Look at this hater comparing the HW to the Light weight in terms of punching power.

The HW Division.. you can get knocked down anytime. HORRIFic comparison.

Never compare lewis to that ****** **** drinking moron marquez.

    Ali
    Holmes
    Foreman
    Frazier
    Norton
    Lyle
    Shavers

Chins do not get better. His Chin is still Grade AAA China, he is simply fighting now with a safety-first style that, while not crowd pleasing whatsoever, has allowed him to stay upright and conscious in recent years.

    Is that meant to be

    Frazier
    Norton
    Lyle
    Shavers

In which case I'd agree with that list completely

What's your take on this man's chin -- and do you rightfully consider the Keed's in the running for the best of all-time?
