We also have to consider that Vitali never beat a decent opponent. It's easy to look like an iron-chinned boxing master when you're fighting slow, plodding cab drivers like Chris Arreola and 40-year-old Shannon Briggs.

So a kick to the head KOed Vitali. What will be next, a hit with a sledge hammer? This is a boxing forum and the fact that you had to use other sport to prove something only shows that it has no credibility at all. :hi:

That uppercut from Lewis would have killed 99% of the population and he took it like it was nothing

Where did I say that Vitali K has a Glass Jaw? I simply asked the question to open up the forum to some stirring Chin Talk. The video hasn't even been analysed at the Punch Resistance Laboratories yet FFS.:rofl:patsch

Who are you anyway? I've never seen you before which must mean you are a forum no-mark. Hopefully HEADBANGER will stop by and expose your pitiful profile view count.:oops::oops:

I´ve heard many boxers say that they've never gotten KO'd by a punch they saw coming. Vitali holds his hands down and sees punches coming really well and even if they land a bit he's turning away from them and they don't hurt him. I think that's the difference between him and Wladimir. Wlad's more conventional style and he doesn't see the punches coming when they land. Vitali didn't see the kick he didn't see coming = KO

I get the professor bit and it was kind of funny to start but now it's just annoying to read the intentionally misprinted posts. Any actual boxing knowledge you have is lost on the lack of comedy you display and people lose interest before your point is made

the basis of this thread is laughable and no one involved with Boxing, fan boxer or trainer would lend any credence to the theory that Vitali's chin is suspect because he got knocked out by a kick to the head....

if your intention was to provide humor I applaud the effort even if it failed miserably, if you intended to begin an open discourse on the validity of this video to Vitali's ability to take a punch than I'm sorry you would be laughed out of any serious conversation and dismissed as a troll

    thanks for the effort

Vitali has as solid of a chin as we'll see in boxing today, I don't care who he's fought at heavyweight everyone can get caught. even when he does get caught he doesn't get hurt...see Lennox Uppercut

Chin rating : Very Good - Excelent

Vitali's chin status is based primarily off taking that big Lewis uppercut in the 6th round, and not being on ***** street. Fair play, it was a massive shot and Vitali took it well.

Off the top of my head, the only other time he was hit really solidly was against Sanders, and he showed some distress there. It was a good counterpunch that landed flush, so in all fairness that punch would have hurt anyone.

But there isn't really enough to go on to really label his chin as pure iron, not for me. That's not his fault (quite the opposite) but it is the case. I think he had a very good chin, but in the same class as a Chuvalo, McCall, Mercer or Cobb? There is just not enough evidence to prove that it was.
