I like Mundine however can you name 1 guy who Mundine has beaten who in turn has beaten a world top 10 fighter since the Green fight? :huh

Its not quite fair to say Sam Soliman because he is a MW not a SMW.

Mundine has fought top 50 guys instead of top 15 guys and thats is a fact :deal

Lets hope he is next in line for the MW WBA strap after Sturm VS Sylvester.

Winning that MW WBA title should his # 1 priority Ash that is the key that will get his foot in the door in America but at this stage of his career i would be just as happy to see him win the Commonwealth middleweight title ,his career has nose dived to such an extent its a case of back to the drawing board , Middleweight titles such as the domestic Aussie title should be his starter for three ,
    1, Aussie title
    2,Commonwealth title
    3, WBA world title
4 unification fights with the likes of AA & KP .

The first three titles are all winnable fights for Mandy but due to the lack of quality he has recently faced he would get his boots smoked by either Pavlik or AA Imo .Mandy's biggest problem will be getting himself back to where he was three months ago Pre Kessler DUCKINGi t could take up to 18 months if he gets a wiggle on but up to 4 years if he goes about things at his usual pace .

Hey everyone. 1st Post on here.

I know a couple of you claim to be in the loop here. But i can tell you some pretty detailed information.

I kind of disagree Josey, i have read a lot of your posts as a browser/ of this forum. And you do hit the nail on the head a fair bit, but not this time.

Anthony is currently sparring under the eye of Freddie roach and will be up to 2 weeks before his bout with the Uruguayan. Before finalizing training here.

    2 Things for next year.

February - March (Sturm - Boxing After Dark - Possibly a double card, but with Mundine as the last bout). In double card, obviously 2 main fights.

August - Just an Espino type of fighter, to continue to build the hype around choc in the US. (Possible International PPV, same as Abraham vs Marquez at the moment).

Its going to be interesting to see how he feels at MW. Obviously the fastest hands in the division. If he can feel comftorable and get the right sparring, like before the Kessler fight, (Paul Briggs - Trading big shots in sparring) then he can do anything. Hes not as far off the top guys as most of you on here think.

Just in short im a big Australian boxing fan. I don't really post on forums much. I plan to over the next few months or so.

Fair go thanks for the props @ last someone who apears close to Mandy , So if you dont mind i have a couple of questions for you
1 , Why did Mundine refuse to fight kessler for the " Proper WBA title "
2 , Has his eye fully recovered from the licking of the contact lense incident ?
3 , Why has he been fighting all these lesser skilled fighters who's resume's are **** poor on PPV ripping off all his fans down under .
4 , Kim ain't known as a savage hitter is Mundines chin that fragile he has had to move down to middle because there he will be less effected by the power shots the bigger lads would have brought ?
Thanks in advance for the replys. :good

1 : Whats easier to market in the US? 34-4? Or 34-3? Also why fight Kessler? A loss, which was likely to occur, although it was really a 50 50 fight after the 2nd Soliman win. When down the track he can fight Taylor? And have a better chance of beating him. And Taylor, brings US recognition.

On the topic of Jermain Taylor Josey, have you noticed Mundine got rated at #9 by WBC last month. And then weirdly went up to #7 this month? Jermain Taylor will hold the WBC belt by mid next year.

    2 : If it hadn't, wouldn't be fighting.

    3 : No Comment.

4 : Josey, Chocs chin really isn't an issue. People say his eyes light up when he gets hit, but doesn't everyone? It all goes down to training, sparring. And also goes down to Mundines strategy for the fight. Unless he fights recklessly, hes not going to get stopped at either MW or SMW.

Im sure you could tell how concerned everyone was when Crazy Kim dropped Choc, by Chocs own corner screaming out " You needed that to wake you up".

I can't see his chin being a problem for him. If you want me to say will he go 12 with Pavlik? Definetely.

    :good

I also just wanted to say, im sure he has a lot of critics. And im sure he still has his fans. But by the end of 2010, Choc would have fought in some big fights. Giving it his best shot! I hope you all support him then!

1 ,Great, so he ducked Kessler to fight Jermain two years down the pipe @ 168 lbs ( Taylor up to S/middle these days ) Ok mate its his career but it seems an odd way of going about things , in the event of him losing to kessler the publicity he would have got even if he had got beaten would have far outstripped the stigma an extra loss would have brought Aye ?

2 ,Glad to hear it .

    3 ,

4 , Both Pavlik & AA @ Middle bang a lot harder than Sven Ottke ever did @ 168lbs what brings you to this conclusion ? There are S/middles Ie Carl Froch , Lucian Bute etc who can pop a tad harder than the middles also who would have Mandy on ***** St imo

5 , how close are you to Mundine mate ? Family or have you sparred him ?

6 , Are you poster Ajay in disguise ? :?

I dont really have a problem with Mundine ducking Kessler. He had little to gain from it as opposed to when he supposingly wanted to fight him when Kessler was WBA/WBC champ. If it wasnt for the way he conducts himself to the papers, ect, many others wouldnt care about it either.
Lets face it, hes not the first guy to run from Kessler.

Having said that, at 33 or however old he is now, he really should be having worthwhile fights. Uruguayans dont belong in high calibre boxing.

Rock on fellow posters! :happy :happy :happy

Um guys before you cream yourselves, its probably gav under a different name. Its no coincidence that this poster appears only days after gav promises to stop posting. The "inside info" he's been preaching aint anything new/great/wank-worthy and doesnt present any evidence that he's close to choc (although gav has been know to suck chocs balls so who knows).
