Cocoa works as an antioxidant, but a fruit smoothie would have loads of those as well from fruits, while satisfying the need for micronutrients far more. Fruit, some yogurt and quark, some flaxseed and you can add whey protein if you want to fart more. Perfect post workout meal.

The antioxants in pure coco, are way more potent than the antioxidants in fruit.....way more.

Not really. Cocoa is a concentrated substance from a bean. Eating fruit compares to eating whole cocoa beans. Add cinnamon to your smoothie if you want something similar to cocoa.

I use cocoa daily, but a smoothie is a far superior post workout meal than chocolate milk if you look at the bigger picture.

ya cocoa is very healthy and good for you if you can get it. they sell bars that are contain a high percentage of it, they are very bitter tasting. i'm sure you can also get it in powder, not nesquick.

my brother for his after workout nurition is fruits like apples, pears etc. and scrambled eggs.

And you expect antioxidants from cocoa to survive all the processing your Nutella underwent, plus the microwaving?

Every supermarket sells it in pure form. Nesquick contains a shitload of sugar, and probably taste enhancers as well.

Not sure if it's modern and sciency feeling enough for some here, they've been selling it since 1814 ;)

Yeh dark Chocolate, it's good for you.

The cocoa flavonoids, are pretty much like the antioxdants in red wine. These are way way way more powerfull and potent than the antioxdants found in fruits.

There like 20 times more potent, something stupid like that.

Have you ever had Nutella.........? It's not about the antioxidants when it comes to nutella, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeell No.

I'm doing it strictly for the taste, when nuttella is involved.

That's a load of ****. It's a concentrate and taken in smaller amounts. Try eating 100 grams of pure cocoa, I can guarantee eating 100 grams of strawberries is easier. The antioxidants in wine are the same as the ones found in a certain kind of fruit, it's called a grape. It's preserved well because of the alcohol, more than in grape juice where it would be destroyed in processing.

something like that here would be expensive. they only sell it in the orangic sections. the bars i was talking about sell for over $5 each!! and they are so small.

lol ♥ nutella but i would agree if youre looking to stay fit its probably not a good idea to eat it

I thoroughly enjoy putting a scoop of unflavored protein powder in 1.5 cups of chocolate milk and using a blender on it. It's like...A MILKSHAKE! M MMMMMMMM

    Seriously? :blood

It sells for about 1 euro over here in any supermarket. I'm sure supermarkets sell it everywhere, can't be a Dutch thing.
