Generalizations regarding nationalities are laughable in themselves.

As with anyone it depends on where one "draws the line" Australians give a lot more room to play than most in my experience.

:patsch See Blues mate ,This is why i asked the quesion in the first place ,This fella's comments on the message board infact , Why the **** would Calzaghe fight Kessler #1 challenger for the wba title down under for £800,000 when he could unify the WBA against Kessler for £ 3.5 million ? Also why would Calzaghe defend his REAL WBA title down under for £800,000 when he can keep hold of it and fight Bernard Hopkins in the States for $10,000,000 and if sucsesful fight someome like Kelly Pavlik over there for another £10,000,000 ? Calzaghe could retire as a unified undisputed S/Middle weight champ and possibly a Two weight ring champ to fight a made up WBA champ now is a no brainer imo ,Choc will have to actually put some real time in if he's going to realise his full potential as a REAL Champion . Regards Josey Wales ps sorry for typo as its late and ive had a int or two .

    Consider this Josey.

If Choc fights Danny Green and beats him then Mundine will be the "real" WBA light heavyweight champ of the world.

Now looking back on to the joke that was Stipe Drews would that crown be any more legit than the one he has now?

Is Choc's regular title any less legit than Lucian Bute's? Even Sammy Soliman has fought better competition than Bute, as has Danny Green.

Take it for what it is. I guess it's why Ring Magazine's rankings have more credibility than the governing organizations.

:patsch Mate even though its 03.00 am here is Wales and im pissed as a fart watching the superbowl, i understand Greenie's WBA real L/Heavy title is a legit title and fair go to him , He beat the man who was the man in order to be rightly called a world champ , Mundine beat The likeable Sam to become Kesslers #1 challenger and Wales's Joe Calzaghe is the WBA , WBO & WBC CHAMPION ,He would also still be the IBF Champion If he had decided to defend the title he won IN THE RING against Lacy by defending it against Steglize , I like mundine but the big turn off for me is his moronic fans like yourself , Sorry if this sounds a tad harsh but you should really concentrate on getting you fighter in with a few quality fellers instead of Argie cabbies and his mates from the local mousque... Mundine isn't even on Joe's radar and nor should he be. There's far bigger fights for Joe out there then Mundine.

:patsch Hang on. What is the issue?

First Choc offered Calzaghe the fight BEFORE Joe and Kessler were even mentioned so forget that. :patsch

Because Joe hadn't fought Kessler there's no way one could expect stupid amounts of cash. Who was Joe's biggest opponent before Kessler?

    Where does $800,000 pounds come from? Was that you writing that or were you quoting Blues? I'll write a little slower for you just in case....A* p-a-r-t * o-f * t-h-e* d-e-a-l* w-o-u-l-d * h-a-v-e * i-n-c-l-u-d-e-d* t-h-e* g-a-t-e* :patsch

That's about $3mil ($1.5 mil pounds) there. :patsch

I doubt that the figure would have been anything less than Au$2.5 million.

Now back to the issue at hand. Were you asking the question because you wanted to see if it was a real attempt at getting him out here or was it just another exercise in Mundine bashing? :nono

As I stated previously it was the best they could do. Choc wanted to fight Joe but Calzaghe decided that either he didn't need the money from such an easy fight OR risk outweighed reward.

I really hope Joe doesn't duck Choc when the time comes. There are some fighters that have the style to make Mundine work hard, Joe ain't one of them.

As for being a "moron"...all this proves is that you are as objective as any other Welshman that has formed a Godlike opinion of Calzaghe.

Simple fact is that Mundine invited, Calzaghe rejected. He knew what would happen.

WHY WOULD THE UNIFIED IBF & WBO CHAMP fight in Australia for £1.5 million against a top ten fightr when he could unify the WBC & REAL WBA champ Kessler for £3.5 ? Please explain the logic in that ...Regards Josey Wales

True ,If Calzaghe stayed @ S/Middle he would unify all the belts against Romainia's Lucian Bute before he fought the "Regular belt holder " Anthony Mundine lmao , :patsch but its like you say Express he has bigger fish to fry and will be home and hosed before Mundine even thinks about getting th real WBA title .Regards Josey Wales

But i alraedy know the answer , and its not pretty ..Regards Josey Wales
