okay...mabey he DID hurt both hands and had to "dig deep" to get through... okay, mabey we're totally ignoring the efforts of MANUEL QUESADILLA... mabey were too hard on a natural big guy who has to battle with himself of staying away from the tacos and coronas ( as he admits it himself)...mabey if we keep matching him up with the travis walkers and vinny maddalones, we can still get explosive heavyweight fights!! cuz it dont matter no more to try to win a champion ship no more...its pointless...if he folded with vitali, wlads gonna decapitate him...and david haye?? well...mabey david haye... I think we should just stop expecting too much from him and look at it of what it is... a boy from the varrio who BARELY made it out of the hood alive to continue his dreams of being a champion...technically he's a champion right now...(IN MEXICO) so hopefully that serves him as a moral victory... look at it as a fat dude who battles with himself and his foe at the same time and come out victorious without letting off the gas peddal...that in itself is a victory...trust me...MEXICAN FOOD IS HARD TO JUST SIMPLY GIVE UP...putting you on a diet means to eat ONLY beans and u know how much PROTEIN there is in ****ing beans??? its pathetic to hear an excuse why he keeps coming in 15 lbs heavyer than the previous fight... lets ease up a little ..and by we, i mean me...and i need to stop LOOKING for that MEXICAN heroe...CUZ we doing damm well down south in lightweight, featherweight, welterweight, and jr weltys .... lets focus on the fights, and let ARREOLA enjoy is vacation... :boohoo
I'm happy that Arreola has managed to make a life and a living for himself in the sport of Boxing. I'm happy to watch him fight because he's tough and hard-nosed in the ring, he comes to throw down and the action is for the most part exciting. Arreola's general attitude has been to accomplish as much as possible putting forth the minimal effort ... and that, frankly, I can't condone. I'm not going to be too critical of him, considering his track record over the length of his career he's always been an underachiever and so I can't say that I expected him to ever break out of that rut; I was hoping he would, but never expected it.
there was just too much hype surrounding him, due to his mexican heritage and the fact he could become the first mexican hw champ. the thing is, why should us boxing fans take him seriously, when he cant even do it himself. He shows up fat and while in decent shape, we all know, that it could be a hell of alot better, but he seemingly doesnt care, why the hell should we.?
If he continues on this path, when all is forgotten, he will live with the regrets of what could have been...
