"Chris arreola in pretty good shape"

Well yes you could argue that I guess, 'round' is a shape afterall, whether or not it's a good shape is pretty subjective ;)

He's exciting, but imo he'll go nowhere, he's only being talked about due to the total lack of depth in the division, and whoever compared his heavy hands to George Foreman should watch Big George fight first, they are in a different league. No, scratch that, different world!

Who said that? In my opinion they should not even be mentioned in the same breath. I've seen fights where Foreman would literally send guys up in the air with a punch haha. Foreman's punches were slow as **** but concussive. Very unfortunate for the guys who got hit by them.

LMAO!! Did you read the description??

"HBO World Championship Boxing features the dazzling skills of Paul Williams vs. the elusive charms of Winky Wright, also showcasing the razzle-dazzle of Chris Arreola vs. the remarkable abilities of TBA."

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Hbo ****s up all the time. I remember when they had Zab listed as Jab once and it was not even changed until the fight happened and they posted the next match up on the main page.

Guys, too much emphasis is placed on a "ripped" physique in the heavyweight division. Very seldom do we see a "body beautiful" type heavyweight. Even throughout the history of the division.

The reason for that is most heavyweights are afraid of overtraining. The 2 variables that disappear from a fighters arsenal as a result of overtraining are power and chin.

The two most important variables for any successful heavyweight.

There's no doubt Chris has some very heavy hands but its to soon to compare them to Foremans meathooks. If Arreola can get in decent shape and increase his speed a notch,he would be the odds on favorite to be the next big thing in the division.Looks like he has some American Indian heritage in him like someone said and that would only help his popularity in America.Needs a good showing against McCline and he's on his way

It's just a hunch, but I think Arreola will win and look spectacular doing it against "big time". Most people don't realize how good he truly is by watching his last performance. He took Walker too lightly, which happens sometimes. The fact that he overcame that kind of adversity in his last fight speaks volumes of his character.

Expect everyone to be on his bandwagon again after this fight.

The idea is not to look like David Haye. Just to cut the fat. Don't think you have to "overtrain" to do that. Just to train regularly instead of only training when you have a fight. I don't believe Peter, Arreola or Chambers eat and train properly between fights. Am i wrong?

even chris says he needs to cut down on the oreos and all that junk, so i take it he is out of shape...but hopefully with this new motivation (meeting the canvas) he will check himself and understand that he's a few fights from a million dollars......

He does train regularly just like most fighters do. If I remember correctly he had an ankle injury that caused him to cut out a lot of the roadwork he usually does to properly prepare for a fight. Mix that in with overlooking an athletically gifted fighter like Travis Walker, and you have a performance like his last fight.

Also, give him a break...this is going to sound bad, but it's true. He's hispanic. He is never going to look like Evander Holyfield. It is genetically impossible for him to look like that even in his best shape.

That's just not true. Barring a glandular problem, if you train hard and EAT RIGHT, you should not be fat. The human body stores all that fat because you are consuming more calories than you need for your day to day functioning.

Here's the problem, that excess fat will slow you down, and wear you out quicker than if it was gone. It's true some people have better genetics and don't have to worry about that excess fat because they have high metabolisms. The rest of us need to watch what we eat. That is especially true for someone who earns a living as a professional athlete.
