A fight he barely won. Arreola could do what Hipp couldn't quite pull off.

Morrison TKO Round four Arrreola, in a slugfest it would be a huge left hook and it would be lights out!

Like he has knocked out who exactly?
Anytime he has stepped up in class he has lost.

Well, he didn't get spectacularly knocked out by Michael Bentt and Mercer.

A focused Morrison wouldn't have lost to Bentt. Even before the Mercer KO
Tommy hurt and roughed up Ray. I am a big fan of both, however Morrison
was a higher caliber fighter with more weapons in his offensive arsenal, and
a better defense. This guy outboxed Foreman, bravely took Lewis's best shots,
and survived Ruddocks onslaught. Tommy had the headmovement, decent
chin, and heart to survive Arreola. Tommy's hook spells trouble for Arreola.
The Stiverne fight showed Arreola can be dropped and hurt but difficult
to finish. A prime focused Morrison wins by KO within 5.

There is no evidence to show that Morrison wasn't focussed against Michael Bentt. And he also had some very close calls with an 8-8 ross Purity, Joe Hipp and an aged Carl Williams.. The Ruddock fight was against an opponent who had fought 1 time in nearly three years, and still Tommy was decked early.. outboxing Foreman was a big achievement given that so few gave Morrison a chance. But that was a one time showing where the Duke changed his style for one evening and surprised Foreman who frankly looked rather lazy in there to me. Arreola has a better chin, more size and comparable power to Morrison. Tommy is probably a tad more skilled, but the slight difference is negated by Arreola's other attributes. tough fight to call, but I think Chris guts it out, unless Morrison fronts the best performance of his career.

As much as I like Morrison, my thoughts keep returning to this.

Yes he did, but he hit Mercer with enough artillery to bury Arreola

Actually, he was absolutely unfocussed against Bentt, not even up for discussion. It was his hometown return after his Foreman victory. He was partying up a storm and not showing up for training, drinking and ****ing all night... and god knows what else. But this is actually a further strike against him. He wasn't very professional in his approach. Neither has Arreola been in the past, but he seems to have gotten his act together a bit. Still, I would bet on Chris. Elite power is great but only one piece of the puzzle. Ask Earnie Shavers.

The only one to survive'a'truly vicious morrison attack was'mercer'and his legendary chin. Arreola hasnt got a chin like that and would get brutally knocked out...

I watched a good number of Morrison's fights live as a teenager, and frankly I think he was an exciting high end club fighter, but not much else.
