He's gash. Too late to start being dedicated now, even getting down to 234 is a half-assed effort. He shouldn't be any more than 220. He had his shot against an almost shot Vitali Klitschko and turned up f'n huge before being banged up and stopped.... then was outpointed easily by Adamek who hardly got out of second gear. Now he's facing a man who was easily beaten by Antonio Tarver of all people.....
210 is too low for a guy like Arreola. Hes Mexican, and most Mexicans who weight over 175 are stocky...hence why you ever rarely see Mexicans above 147/154... 225 would be the perfect weight for Arreola...but with that low weight I'd figure his power decreases but has a increase in speed... Lets go Arreola, glad to see you put the donuts down but you can do better! Not complaing tho, 234 is a great start.
His power would be better if he weighed less. I've said this before and I'll stick by it...I can't remember a slow fighter that was a genuinely murderous puncher. Speed is crucial to power. George Foreman was the closest to this and even he was faster than Arreola. Can't say I'm interested in this fight, its a nothing contest.
You're way to caught up on physical conditioning. That's not any indication of a fighters conditioning to perform. Arreola stands 6ft 3. At 234lbs that's quite lean for a man his size. There's no guarantee's whatsoever that he'll perform better down at 210. Certainly at 234lbs that's a great plus from his usual flabby 250lb nonsense. But that man's a heavyweight. Unless he develops the skills to compliment his conditioning whatever weight he comes in at is academic. As the reality is Arreola is just a slugger. And a crude one at that.
Not if he doesn't have much muscle, which he doesn't, Arreola is certainly not to be mistaken for lean As for skills, he's actually got a decent skill set by modern big men standards
234 is not lean at all for someone who supposedly stands at 6'3. (No chance he is 6'3. I'm 6'4 and I weigh around 230 these days, as I've stopped doing any excercise, and I don't look any where close to the state he turns up to fight in.
That's YOUR subjective opinion which frankly means squat. The reality is Arreola is a BIG man and a heavyweight end of story. Comparatively with his previous highs of 260 plus absolutely he is lean. You can see it clearly in his face. To be honest the forum opinions on here on what constitutes a optimal criteria regarding weight have to be taken with a pinch of salt. As 90% of the forum posters here have never trained a day in their life and know nothing about conditioning.
He is probably less than 210. He is carrying more fat then you can believe. I'm a relatively slim guy but I've 2 stone on me that I could shift easy but others with think I could only lose 3 or 4 kg. Arreola eats terribly. If he had 3 good meals or 6 smaller meals the weight would fly off. He is just too weak mentally when it comes to food. He is okay but he simply isn't 100% serious about making money and a legacy.
Enough with the pats on the back, cut it ****ing down more, Chris. It doesn't take 4 or 5 fights to go from fat to skinny.
First off he is not 6'4'' he is 6'2'' and he does not need to be ripped, he just needs to be in shape. Chris needs to drop 20lbs more fat so 215lbs at best. Anyone can be ripped, it is not like it is some genetic gift, it is simply a great diet and takes dedication. That said Chris if he were ripped would be 190lbs and no one is asking that of him.
