a good win. byrd may of been outgunned but he was far from out of the fight.he was clearly troubling vitali. if your shoulder is dislocated you either have another round or throw in the towel. i wont say quitcsko or anythign but he did give up on a very winnable fight if he had just run for the last few rounds

The difference is that I speak the truth, and look at things that matter. What means more: wins over top contenders at the time, or being ahead on the cards when you lose? What means more: Winning the fight itself, or winning rounds? I've even heard Shitali fanboys claim that his performance against Lewis was more impressive than Rahman's WIN over Lewis, and that his loss to Byrd was more impressive than Ibeabuchi's WIN over Byrd, because Rahman and Ike didn't win as many rounds. :rofl
No one has mentioned that Vitali was well ahead on that scorecard and was essentially beating the **** out of Byrd. People act like a torn rotator cuff is nothing but a bee sting, but it hurts like hell, and I've had one. Klitschko losing that fight was a result of an injury that had nothing to do with anything that Chris Byrd did to him.

Gene Tunney wades through his own blood for 15 rounds against Harry Greb, protesting that the fight cant be stopped, getting beaten from pillar to post for 15 rounds in a horrific scene ..... ... and Tunney still doesn't get his dues around here. Meanwhile, Vitali Klitschko QUITS WHILE HE'S AHEAD against Chris Byrd (who no one will EVER talk of in awe as they do Greb) and some people lobby for this chump Klitschko to be included somewhere among the greats.
A torn rotator cuff is a little different than a dislocated shoulder. My father was unfortunate enough to suffer the same injury, even six years down the line it still gives him problems. To try to punch whilst carrying that injury would be moronic, he would have ****ed his arm up so bad he would never be throwing power shots again. Watching the fight, it is plain to see that he was dominating; it is just one of those unfortunate things that can happen. As for running away the last three rounds, can you imagine how that would have come across 6,7 guy getting chased around the ring by powder puff chris? Personally i think he did stop a little early, but take in to consideration that not only was his offense ****ed but his defence was to... You would not want to be taking punches on that arm.
I have never been a Vitali Klitschko fan. However,the very nature of reading ignorant posts on a chat forum can make a guy a fan or hater of anybody. This is often influenced on the preposterousness of ignorant claims either FOR or AGAINST a guy. Although I agree with many of the common criticisms of Vitali's career, the hater's idiocy have nearly surpassed that of the nuthuggers. This was a man who had an incredible KO ratio, won more rounds than anybody even in defeat, and who's only losses were due to stoppages or injuries that had little to do with his say so, his own doing, or even what his opponent did to him. Vitali did not beat that many rated fighters, in fact his best wins may very well have come against Herbie Hide and Corrie Sanders, but the fashion in which he beat his opponents should be notable. A fighter should not be rated less, as a result of injuries that had nothing to do with things that occurred in the ring. A healthy Klitschko could have given a lot of all time greats trouble, perhaps even beaten them...........
Whilst drinking whisky to qwell (sp?) the pain in between rounds, which obviously only compounded the situation and made it worse
Strange fight. Vitali dwarfed Byrd physically. Vitali was winning in an unimpressive manner, couldn't pin down Byrd though, the crowd seemed to get behind the smaller man somewhat. Chris started taking it to him in the later rounds, and it seemed Klitschko was confused by this, and bailed out, though it transpired he was injured.
