Ronnie Davies- “he’s a middleweight”, “he never listens to me anyway”.

Eubank Senior- “my son is a middleweight, he walks around at 170”, “i think Shane McGuigan would be a great trainer for Junior”.

That’s two people who are very close to him talking about him v recently. He’s in the wrong division and although he’s a strong kid, he’s fighting bigger lads and he doesn’t have the skills to make up for it.

Why is he even in this division? He took Abraham who was shot, he thought Groves was shot. He now thinks Degale is shot. Is it simply the path of least resistance to a world title in his head? You have GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, BJS, Charlo, Andrade, Lemieux etc all swimming about at 160 and any of them would be a big selling fight but he’s faffing at 168 attempting to feast on the carcasses of former world champions. He’s hiding in plain sight imo. Degale has rightfully had his ambition questioned with giving up titles, poor performances and retirement talk, but I think Junior should be challenged on his ambitions, too. He’s dodging the best.

Degale looks in the best condition I can ever remember seeing him in. I don't know if he has totally recovered from injury, or how it will affect him, but I think he can outpoint Jnr because he's a far more skilled boxer, he's just guilty of lapses in concentration and gassing out, against someone like Jnr that is very dangerous. Degale on points for me.

Eubanks trajectory flatlined pretty early at B-level and I see nothing that suggests that'll change.

DeGale looked terrible against Truax and is clearly on a downward trend towards retirement.

The question really is has Degales trend sunk below Eubanks level at this point of his career? The Truax fights suggests it has to me.

DeGale a few years ago beats any Eubank with reasonable ease on points.

Makes me laugh how nobody mentions the performance of Groves in the Eubank fight, like Eubank was supposed to win and underperformed? Give Groves his ****ing credit, he was much bigger and boxed a smart fight. Eubank is nowhere near as bad as people are saying, he won 5 rounds vs Saunders and 4 vs Groves. Degale is shot to bits and Eubank will stop him inside 8.

Degale is miles better than any of those kids, any of them Olympic gold medalists and 168lbs champs?
Hiding in plain sight ffs he is taking the biggest fight available

Groves was a world champion and the favourite to win WBSS ffs, he didnt choose to fight Groves it was just the draw????

Callum Smith would give savage beatings to any and all of those kids, if Young Christopher steps in the ring with Callum (which tbf he shouldn't Callum is too big) I bet you will start accusing Jr of thinking Smith is shot!!!

He had more votes on the poll on here and the average man on street said Eubank was going to destroy Groves. He was also the favourite with the bookies. So yes he was supposed to win. Groves schooled him yes, but it was stupidly easy for him because Eubank is actually worse than he gets credit for, not better like you say. Do you really think he took 4 rounds off Groves?

I'm going for Eubank late stoppage purley because i the DeGales's fimished but DeGale of a few years ago beats Eubank Jr handily.

First of all, Degale is long past his best and he certainly isn’t as good as them guys at this stage of his career. He’s talking about retiring win or lose.

I standby my words that he believed Groves was long past his best and was ready to have a fork stuck in him. That was the narrative he spun out through all the build up.

There are bigger fights than Degale as I’ve posted. He lost his pen against GGG and has hid in the 168 division. He’s a 160 and he won’t even utter the names of the top guys in that division.

Fights Quinlan who’s awful and calls himself a world champion, beats up an old Abraham, did a good job on Yildirim (credit where it’s due), dealt with by Groves and fought JJ in a v dodgy fight....these are his prime years and he’s wasting them in terms of legacy, Should have at least been fighting Dirrell for WBC instead of upsetting their president.

I am just saying I would rather give Groves credit for the win, he had a great gameplan and executed it well. People just would rather say how trash Eubank is though and yes maybe 9-3 or 8-4. Eubank won some rounds along the way even though he was well beaten.

Yet another sockpuppet. Yep, very financially astute taking a gamble on a what he hopes is a shot fighter. Worked well before. Absolutely no risk of him being completely exposed, again, and tarnishing whatever stock he's built up or remains up till' now.
