I usually don't react to provocative answers but your ignorant statements are trully annoying. Did you even watch the fight that Frost is mentioning? The Griffin fights were both controversial especially the 2nd one who was elected "worst decision of the year" by the International Boxing Digest back in 1996. As for McCallum I, the general consensus onsite and in the press was that Toney did enough to win. Toney's battles with Johnson, Tiberi, Thadzy, McGroom, Rahman I were all close decisions that could have gone either way. Toney's tendency to fight in spurs and to get down to the level of the opponent make some of his fights hard to score.

Oh **** you. frost posts a typical shitty one-eyed view only a Toney nuthugger can post & I'M ignorant? Wake up.

Toney may have edged McCallum 1 with that great last round. His best performance imo. McCallum comfortabley won the rematch. Doesn't need discussing. It was only close after the bs point deduction & McCallum tiring during rds 10 & 11.

Even Ring magazine scored Griffin 1 a clear 7-5. It wasn't viewed as controversial outside the band of nuthuggers.

Griffin 2 could be scored either way. Garbage fight where neither was convincing or landed much significant. Lederman's card has zero credibility after he scored the last round for Toney. One easy, clear round to score for Griffin. Of course Toney nuthuggers score any close round to Toney then scream robbery if things don't go his way. Maybe they should watch without the hbo nuthuggery. All they waffled on about was ****en Toney.

Funnily enough I don't expect better of you than to call a guy like James Toney a coward, especially when you cling onto the nuts of a guy that ran for the hills because of Hasim Rahman :nut

Bring in some objectivity, PLEASE. Toney vs. Griffin 2 was a plain out robbery, whether you are a Toney fan or hater, you have to acknowldge that! Just rewatch the fight for christ sake, I for my part have seen it at least a dozen times and always came to the same conclusion: toney was robbed. To state that the Ring magazine scored Griffin 1 "a clear" 7-5 is a contracdicition in itself, it means that a single round made the difference. So McCallum comfortably won the 2nd fight?? Yeah, he probably won the 3rd fight clearly too didn't he?

Let's call it like IT IS...Please.

James Toney WAS a great fighter... and one of the BEST defensive masters that every laced up the gloves. BUT... he is also a bigmouth that needs to know when to shut his pie hole.

    Period, end of story. :yep

Yeah, never heard of sarcasm didn't you? The scoring of the 3rd fight was never questioned here my friend. The McCalllum I fight was scored a draw and 7-5 by the ring magazine so it can't -in all objectivity- be viewed as a clear cut decision. But then again why do I lose my time arguing with an impolite person like you? Grow up and learn to argue with people without constantly attacking them on personal basis.

How was Toney-Rahman II controversial?, it was based on the rules of boxing and has happened many times before.

**** you *******, you are so ignorant it is not even funny anymore.

McCAllum won the second fight? So you were more impressed by McCallum's arm punches than Toney's hard overhand right which landed consistently throughout the bout?

Toney - Griffin II, either way? **** you. As for the last round, do you give it to Griffin based on his "good footwork".

Either way, you are a hater or completely incompetent. Enough said.

    You're another consistently crappy poster.

McCallum threw arm punches whilst Toney threw hard rights...& landed them consistently? LOL. Whatever you say. Both the british & u.s. broadcasts I've seen had Toney losing. The fans booed that decision hard. Most importantly, I had Toney losing.

Griffin easily outjabbed Toney during the last round. Toney landed nothing.
