Don't know buddy. I thought they used the Crescent in the Pak flag because it is an Islamic Republic and this emphasises the religion. Not necessarily. Many boxers over the years have had a huge fanbase of people who would not describe themselves as boxing fans. Frank Bruno, Mike Tyson, Naz, (to name just a few) all had an army of followers who were not true boxing fans, (as well as the genuine fight fans who liked them). Amir Khan is no exception.
Depends on who you ask and how they see it. For example a villager in Pakistan might be offended, but vast majorty wont care. But fact is, Khans intent is to represent the flag and not the religion.
Tourism. I had done India, Oman, loads of EU countries and fancied a trip to Pak. Got a Visa and went over. Enjoyed the place, people are nice and everything is so cheap (when I converted to pounds). I got over 110RS to a £ and could easily eat etc for a £1 a day. I wanted to go visit the Kalash people but I was told it was a protected area and it would take time to get permission (dont know if it is true), but I had little time so came back after Peshawar. Saw no boxing gyms but plenty of Snooker tables. You should visit the place. Very interesting country and plenty to see. Great disparity in wealth but you get that in India as well.

Massive Naans and very cheap. Preferred the Peshwari food than the Punjabi fare, they do great rice which does not look very good but is the best savoury rice I have ever had. Yes probably protected but I though if Palin could get in then I might be able to get in. Had similar problems when I wanted to visit Bhutan. They wanted $200 a night so I soon skipped on that.
