Even before the pandemic and the court case I said this would be the outcome to fulfill Canelo’s contract. The original business model never made since when 3 fighters(Canelo, GGG, AJ) had contracts totaling to $650+ million guaranteed. So #nomoreppv isn’t a thing anymore just like with PBC..

 

They'd have done the numbers and the loss was acceptable to them in order to attract and keep 3 of the biggest stars in boxing.

Dazn model was to price everyone out of the market and be the last man standing because they had the deepest pockets.

As another poster said i wouldn't be surprised if canelo did visit every other ppv broadcaster at the same time. Companies don't take things personally so, despite their history, if there is money to be made between dazn and canelo theyll make a deal.

 

He’s definitely gonna utilize all platforms because honestly who’s gonna say no. I’m saying that even before the dissolving of the contract I said Canelo would eventually be on DAZN PPV to subsidize the amount of money they were investing in just he and GGG alone. They expected to lose money but no where near as much as they did the same thing happen with PBC..

 

Dazn is trash now. And canelo vs smith doesnt justify paying $70 considering smith needs a knockout to win, and canelo will do just enough to not make it a contreversial win.

 

The NSAC still has his back I'll bet theyve tried to influence the Texas Commission
