He is really thin, I wonder a move up to cruiserweight might be a option...

Can't see him jumping up a stone in weight in all honesty. It's not a glamour division and his power's low at LHW. Imagine him fighting likes of Huck and Ola.

It's a tough loss to take, but he's still a top 10 lhw, maybe have an easy low key fight or two under a new trainer, see if Bellew wins his WBC title fight and then challenge him. That's when he can look at Hopkins or even a Kovalev rematch.

The lad is obviously disappointed, being only 26 and having brilliant sports career up to Sat you can imagine him being disillusioned and he is ,being a bright lad well aware that constantly being punched in the head may not be good for his long term welfare! But despite what some say he has got talent and ability, you are only as good as your last fight,a good win against a recognised name would because of his previous history put him right back in the mix.Do agree a move to the States with someone like Roach would probably be a good thing......get a title.....few defences, pack it in at 30.

He's been taught a tough lesson instead of gradual progress, he's been matched soft and I think everyone knows that including Cleverly himself now.

If his heart's not in then fair enough but that also just shows how poor matchmaking can destroy a fighter's confidence / career.

Hopefully he's just feeling sorry for himself and he'll bounce back but it's back to the drawing board and a few steps back, more meaningful fights but maybe he cant be bothered.

Nathan does enjoy a party lifestyle from what I have heard. He does have talent, but Saturday showed to me that he was woefully underprepared to face a world class boxer. To get back close to the top, he needs to knuckle down and also change trainers, not sure if it is in him though.

He should move to super middleweight and chase a fight with Froch then call it quits

Actually he said that he thought he spat it out so they could get a look at his cut.

But I agree I think it is unlikely.

    Blimey,

Clev already looks Briedis Prescott esq and you want him to drop weight?

    If anything up not down.

Personally I think a new trainer who can teach him the basics of Defence and footwork. I believe it is his feet that get him in trouble more often than not.

Adam booth would be a great fit.

I don't think roach would be as he is so offensively minded and Clev can't punch.
