My prediction. Pacman By Tko in the Late Rounds he would Beat Clottey so Bad belive That Pacman is The Bruce Lee OF Boxing !!! Go PAC you are a Exellent Boxer ^^ The Only Boxer To have a Chance to Outbox Pacman ist Floyd Mayweather in This Fight 50-50
thank you. fact is clottey has ability but hes limited. ad he hasnt shown the ability to close out fights. and that was against very good fighters, pacquiao is a great fighter. expect clottey to give pac some diffculty for 3-4 rds, after that pac outworks him to a clear decision with a possibility of a tko stoppage.
Its a good matchup and I think very under rated just because Clottey isnt known outside of boxing fans so it doesnt have that megafight appeal. I think Pac will be too active for Clottey and win a decision. I think it will be a close fight but the judges will have Pac more ahead than he should be. I agree with the others, Clottey is going to need to knock Pac down a few times and really dominate him to get a decision. Pac is SUPPOSED to win and all of boxing expects him to be in a super fight later this year.
If Clottey drops him early on....he will end up stopping him......Pacquiao won't be able recover and take the heat.:good
Well you just threw all the credibility you had right out the window with that one. How the hell would u have picked Hatton over Pac. I would think picking Diaz over Pac is more reasonable than picking Hatton.
Yeah how ridiculous. Hatton was only lineal champ at 140, had only been beaten once, by Floyd, at 147, and Pac had only fought a past it oscar over 135. Absolutely ridiculous prediction. .....it's easy to say it was a bad pick now but a lot of people had Hatton winning despite the big underdog tag.
i would rather pick a stoppage for clottey than a decision but it is still a good pick if the odds are good. but decision is a very possible scenario since we all know hat pac is a tough sob and would hear the final bell even if he is being outboxed or bullied by the bigger clottey. btw, i noticed that you are always investing on the underdog scenarios. good luck!
I lost on Pac vs Cotto. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178590 but I am up after winning big on my $500 bet picking the result and round of the De La Hoya fight but losing $500 each on the Hatton and Cotto bouts. I also now have $500 on Clottey to beat Pacquiao.
Clottey needs a KO to win against Pacquiao, No way in hell is Bob Arum going to allow a tight decision go to Clottey.
The only way Clottey win is by stoppage. No way he wins by decision. Bad for business, it is what it is.
Clottey will have to fight the fight of his life. His peek a boo defense works great against jabs and straights, but Manny has a hell of a hook to go around that guard and it's a very fast one Clottey won't see coming. Clottey is going to have to pull a Marquez on Manny, because I can't see Clottey beating Manny in a toe to toe exchange. If that happens, I can see Clottey getting caught with his head twisted sideways with one arm out as he kisses the canvas. The key for Clottey is the jab, not so much to score, but keep the smaller Pacman at a distance. Once Pac does go thru, he can curl up into his cocoon and tie him up and I mean tie him up fast. Maybe even land acouple of uppercuts and wrestle with Manny to tire him. I don't know how smart Clottey can be in the ring, but as long as he doesn't fight Manny's fight and frustrates him, Clottey has very good chances to win. He and Mosley are 2 of the strongest and biggest WW's today and if Clottey can use that size and weight affectively, and it probably won't be pretty, he can make it happen. Anything is possible. I pick Pac by split decision. Pac usually is on fire the first 3-4 rounds, rests, then comes back in the 9th on up. It's in those middle rounds when Clottey comes alive.
