First off, how was I being an *******? Its a valid reason given that most of Cotto fans are saying he going to Clottey's body when he didnt have success against a limited fighter with no defensive skills??
Well you basically put words into my mouth which i did not say. You said Clottey's defense is light years ahead of Margarito and i said but so is every other fighter Cotto faced.
I've stated that many times...thats how I see the fight going down....Clottey will not get hit with half of the blows Margoritos took....I've heard from several Cotto fans that Cotto is going to work Clottey's body...I just dont see that happening at all...Given that Margorito had success on taking Cotto's vital weapon away from him...What makes you think Clottey will just overlook the success Margorito had on negating Cotto's body attack...its a vaild point!
If you are making that comparison based on the uppercut fancy....you couldn't be more wrong. Marlon was an exciting fighter to watch who had an offense. Clottey is boring as hell and has a knack for coming up with excuses after his fights.
Dude what are you talking about? i am not talking about who wins and how, the discussion i was having with you was about most of Cotto's opponents having better defense than Margarito.
Which other fighter took away Cotto's best weapon?...Answer that then you're understand what I'm getting at. I'll say it again and again...You're point about other fighters having better "D" than Margorito is very true...I dont deny that at all but how many other fighters was able to negate Cotto's body attack? Given that Clottey is a better defensive fighter, I'm basically saying that Clottey will take into conisderation the success Margorito had on Cotto's body attack...Apperantly others have failed to negate Cotto's body attack so its a very, very valid point.
I dont think Cotto will win because of his body shots (never did), i think Cotto will win with superior work rate and lots of lateral movements.
