I believe Pacquiao still has the element of surprise in his favor due to his ability to punch from so many angles coupled with that blinding speed....which is also in his favor, as it is the punches you don't see coming that are the ones that hurt you most. I don't foresee Clottey showing any respect for Pacquiao's power though, as dealing with the never before seen speed will be Clottey's main obstacle.

Though I think Clottey has everything to beat Pac, in the end anaylsis I will pick Pac to win by SD. Mainly because Clottey, like Cotto, unravels at the end of a fight but moreso than Cotto. However I was more comfortable picking Pac against Cotto than I am picking Pac against Clottey. Oh well, Pac by SD, but a tight fight boring at times.

The MP camp seems to be dabbling with some switch hitting in their training.

I heard an interview where they said they are studying some more techniques and trying to expand their "repertoire" a little more.

Not sure if going orthodox from time to time will be it.

That's exactly right. The last thing Clottey needs in this fight is a mental breakdown. It is frustrating to watch and I can't really think of why it won't unexplainedly happen again.

People may have been saying it, and I believe it still holds true, but nobody has actually been able to do it (make Pacquiao fight going backwards) or disprove those people, except on rare occasions, in which it has been noticeable. He has found other ways out of trouble up until now. From what I've observed, he tends to fight fire with fire rather than back up. Also, as I mentioned earlier, he's very deceptive, and quite crafty I should add.

i just wanna see a competitive fight... of course i'll be rooting for pac coz i'd like to see a future fight with floyd/shane winner.

but seriously though... i don't think clottey is easy picking for pac. if clottey can take pac's punches then pac is in deep ****! if he can break pac's confidence by walking through his punches and just keeps on running him down then i can see a TKO victory for him.

clottey is a big solid mofo!

Shane is past his prime and too old remember? So why should Pac get any credit for fighting him?

yes! but if some how he beats floyd then pac vs shane is the logical fight.

He hasnt gone to a real toe to toe brawl against any of his opponents since the early 2000s.

He doesnt have that granite chin that can withstand flush combos for 12 rounds, especially against bigger and bigger guys, and he knows it.

You should see his fights back in the 1990s. Those were the real "fire vs fire." punchouts.

That's my point. Even though Shane just destroyed Margarito, Mayweather haters just say Mosley is too old and past his prime and won't give Mayweather much credit. But when Pac fights Shane, it's ok...:smoke

Well i sure as hell hope Clottey DOESNT win....

The last thing i want right now is for Pac to be beaten by clottey, a solid but very plain fighter whos just as likely to lose his momentum losing his next fight out against someone he doesnt completely outsize (corrales, judah and pac he is all bigger then)

Id rather this shooting star (pac) continue on his way until meeting another star.

If Clottey wins, so be it, good for him.... he earned it. But even if i wasnt a pac fan, id be rooting for Pac to pull this off so i can see Pac vs Mosley/Mayweather winner.

Pac is fast and hits very hard. Void is afraid of Pac, Clottey, Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, even Williams!

margarito's one dimensional style fits Mosley... floyd is different. You need to have fast hands and feet and i don't think shane at this stage of his career has enough to beat him not to mention his reflexes are not the same, in fact he almost lost to ****ing mayorga. He has the power but i don't think he'll hit floyd clean enough to knock him down.

mosley is the best fight available for floyd besides pac right now... i just don't think shane will be competitive enough at this stage of his career specially against a fighter like floyd.
