He did get more for Cotto and Judah but for his other fights he gets paid like this or lower. He's got a chance to get on HBO again but he is ****in scared. First Martinez, now Williams. Clottey is a joke.

How much you think he got for the Cotto fight? 200k? maybe 300k?

On top off the low ball offer to Clottey, according to Rafael, the offer to Martinez was so small that Sergio basically laughed at it.

That's not the point. You can't accuse someone of "ducking" when you make them a mediocre (at best) offer, drag them up a weight division and give them less notice than is needed. Clottey should probably stop running his mouth about being avoided after this, but so should Pdub.

I cant imagine how can you laugh at the 150 K offer for fight on HBO and than fight off tv for 30 K or just sit out for couple of months.

HBO is not interested in Williams against Clottey or Martinez, and neither is Boardwalk Hall.

HBO is interested in both fights. Boardwalk Hall is no longer the venue.

Clottey fights at WW and somebody defending Williams here said that Williams can still fight at 147lbs. They should fight at 147lbs instead unless Williams can't make 147lbs anymore. The welterweight division has bigger names and hence can give the winner a bigger prize money in his future bout.

Clottey is a punk too. He is not a big enough name to demand more. Although i think that 650K figure is way too high. I think they are offering him prolly around 200K. There is no way The offered him 650K

Look even if Clottey got more then 500k vs Cotto, that don't mean nothing cause Williams is not a draw like Cotto is so 500k is a fair offer. Williams would have got a million dollars for the Pavlik fight but he will get lower then that vs either Clottey or Martinez but you people don't hear Williams cry about the money situation if it's low or not. Look Clottey is coming off a lost to Cotto in which Williams is coming off a dominate win over Wright so in that sense Williams deserves the bigger purse and lets not forget Williams and Clottey both fought the same fighter Margarito and who beat Margarito again? thought so.

Who wants to see this anyway? Clottey's style and inactiveness cannot possibly win him a decision against Williams. A complete utter waste of time.

The article said the amount was so small Martinez wouldn't even consider a title fight. It's obvious that Goosen has been working with Sauerland. He has adopted the exact same tactics.
