With Shane Frampton had a very good year other than that I can't see anyone that has done anything they shouldn't be expected to. Haye beat 2 people who shouldn't even be sparring him. Groves beat Brophy who was huge underdog, Murray a career middle and Gutknech who I hope is OK. Josh Taylor a world class amateur. His prospect Cummings got beat. I'm looking for somebody who's lads over achieving probably Caldwell for me even though I don't think is best had best year achievement v expectations

Shane Mcguignan but only because no other trainer has really done anything. I think Shane is a decent trainer, but Frampton, Haye and Groves were all world class when he got them.

Most probably allude to Shane McGuigan. But Dave Coldwell up there as well.

I do rate shane as a trainer and have done for dome time but as guy pointed out, he had some good results with carl and although hes picked up some new boxers they havnt done that much with him yet.
Weve been seeing more of danny vaugn rhis year and coldwell seems decent

I think 2017 see what Shane's about. Frampton got the rematch v Santa Cruz, Groves has a very winnable world title shot what happens after that? Josh Taylor is definitely going to step up that's for sure. Haye v Bellew if that goes to plan what comes after that.

I'd have to go Coldwell 2016 and im no huge fan just for me has achieved more with people who weren't heavy favourites, as pointed out by Len maybe should have admitted Jamie got lucky.

What's joe Gallagher done this year, apart from going from 3 world champions to none?

Frampton would be elite under anyone, he is that good. McGuigan can hardly be credited with that. Same with Groves, he's come back but what elite fighters has he beaten? Nobody. Same with Haye.

Indeed. The 'great British sense of fair play' (which I ..perhaps naievely...like to think still exists...was distinctly absent from Mr Coldwell.
