Yep, and look what happens when we come to logical conclusions like we did in the last thread, if it does not equal a win for Manny, then you have a problem with it.

Pushing an agenda? for a start, my opinions are exactly that, my Own! opinions, no one is MAKING! you subscribe to them, what do you want me to do, change my percpetion cause it conflicts with your fanatical support for Pacman? If I weren't interested, I wouldn't keep saying, lets discuss it.

I can acknowledge when im wrong, infact I would LIKE someone to make more valid reasons that conflict with my own beliefs regarding that fight, cause that means Manny has a better shot than I think, and given that I would prefer Manny to win, that would be great, but it has to be something I cant refute with a decent argument, otherwise its just wishful thinking, and I aint into claiming this guy will beat that guy cause I WANT! him to.

The brick wall, circle you speak of, is you continually making the SAME! points over and over, even though there is evidence to refute that I have said stuff like, Manny cant win, only it aint stopped you from continually saying it, so there is your circle son, that and the fact you refuse to debate the actual issues, but I guess you can project all that on me to , like I said, no self awareness.

Until some one actually beat Floyd to make that blue print. How to be him will remain speculations and opinions.

This is very tiresome now. You have changed your position since I called you on it, so there's not much more to say.

You've been going on about there's no way for Pac to win this fight, yet now miraculously you acknowledge he has a chance in the fight.

If that had been your position to start with, I would have had no quarrel, because as I have pointed out numerous times, both Lefthook and PowerPuncher believe Floyd will win but they do not refuse point-blank to even consider that Manny may be able to do anything in this fight, and therefore that's perfectly fine, but your endless preaching about how unbeatable Floyd is is not, it's cheerleading and I can't stand mindless cheerleading, and will continue to combat it whenever I see fit.

Tiresome? if you did'nt keep reiterating points I'd addressed, it most probably wouldn't be tiresome. What position would that be, cause I dont know what your referring to?

But I haven't said there is no way he can win this fight, seriously, how many times do I have to say this to you? I dont think I have EVER! made the assertion he CANT! win, just that I dont think he can. Only thing I can remember saying here, is that I think Mayweather will win clearly, although the fight might appear closer when the scorecards are tallied up, although no matter how close a round is, there is generally always a winner and a loser to that round, and I think Mayweather will be the winner in majority of those rounds, which is why I think he wins clear based on the amount of rounds he wins, but that the fight might LOOK! closer than what it actually is.

It was , if it wasn't then show me what lead you to believe I said he categorically had no chance.

Cheerleading? I love it the way you deluded yourself into thinking your'e NOT a Pacquaio cheerleader, you couldn't come across more biased if you tried.

As I've already said, I couldn't care less what you or anyone else on this forum thinks of me, I have made threads in the past which have proved my knowledge and objectivity to the forum, so I have no interest in a personal slanging match. :good

    Just as well

I love the way you flip flop with your psychology, problem is, I can see exactly what you're doing, which is essentially like trying to change tac to patronize someone cause of what just happened to you on your last point.

I don't know what you are referring to, but I don't have the time, interest or energy to enquire further. Yawn.

Leon, do you think Pacquiao could close the distance by feinting his way in? I seem to remember Khan talking about using the feints in a recent interview, I have also heard Roach tell Manny in the corner to use his feints, now if Mayweather is trying to counter his attacks, will Manny be able to feint him out and set up some offense off those feints?

    What do you reckon?

If Mayweather and Pacquiao do eventually meet I think looking at the Mayweather/Hatton fight is indicative of how the fight would go.

Mayweather was very disturbed and out of rhythm for the first 5 rounds or so of that fight and I think the pressure got to him, the hype and the enormous support Hatton had as well as Hatton's relentless come-ahead offensive approach. Hatton had Floyd stumbling off balance and using fore-arms and elbows it was more MMA than Boxing and this was because Floyd was uncomfortable with the all-out offense of Hatton.

Obviously Manny Pacquiao is a different animal from Hatton in that he will not gas-out but I think Floyd would use similar tactics to keep Pacquiao at bay should they meet, I think he tries everything to spoil and frustrate and tire Manny with constant back-tracking and use of the head, elbows and fore-arms when Manny gets in close.

Manny has so much more to offer than Ricky though but how he would handle Floyd's masterful and dirty inside fighting, almost MMA style I don't know and the Referee could be vital to the way the fight evolves or indeed the actual outcome of the fight.

The fact Manny is a south-paw and far more dangerous than what Hatton was suggests to me that this would be Mayweather's toughest fight to date, even although he would have size, reach and home advantages.

I think Pacquiao would have Mayweather in SERIOUS trouble in the first half of the fight, almost in survival mode if you will, but I think Pacquiao would have his problems too as Mayweather uses his head and elbows as well as his own legal offensive arsenal.

It wouldn't suprise me to see Floyd then win a close decision in a fight which sees the loser come away with more plaudits and giving fuel for the internet masses to debate until the end of time about who won and who was best .......

But then again, I'm not always right about these things :)

Feints are very overlooked by boxing fans. Throwing a punch isn't the only way to lead, good feinting will create openings.

Mosley and Marquez were able to catch Floyd by using a feint to open him up, so feinting would be effective.

emmanuel could have success with feinting at first, but I do not know how long it would last. Too much feints would be playing a thinking man's game, and Floyd does not lose those.

I think the combo roach and emmanuel will be working on is the feint + str8 left to the body + right hook upstairs. Mosley was able to catch Floyd using the left hand jab to the pit and looping right up top.

Pacquiao will probably have some new-age nine-punch combo planned for Floyd ...

I do think Mayweather looked apprehensive during his ring walk, and extremely tight when the fight started, and celebrated like he'd won the lottery, all that made me think that he did let the occasion get to him slightly, infact I dont think he realized how pumped Hatton was, how rabid the British fans were.

Hatton definitely forced Mayweather to fight at a slightly faster pace than he wanted to imo, which is what I think Manny will do.

I dont think Mayweather will allow the gap to close up like that, if he does, I envisage Manny breaking through his defense.

I believe early is Manny's best shot, I think he should jump on Mayweather, employ a seek and destroy strategy, try and take advantage whilst he is not in his rhythm, where he might be a little tight, apprehensive.

Yeah man, getting someone to react to a feint, in order to try and disrupt/break their timing can be a useful weapon.

Good point, Mayweather has a habit of resetting people, then throwing lead rights or left hooks of the angles that his movement creates, and with Pac's leaky D, as you say, dont know how long that would work for before Mayweather adapted to it.

Yeah, I noticed during the Judah fight how Mayweather was throwing the lead right to the body, it kinda got him in-tight where by Judah found it more difficult to step away/pivot away from his left hook right hand when he threw it up top, of coarse Manny would do it outta the left stance, but.....

This is because it's not easy countering a southpaw. That's why Floyd fights aggressive against them , as do most fighters. Floyd is not a great counter puncher against southpaws. The way he's shown to deal with them in the past tells me Pac would break him down and overwhelm him, especially at this stage where he's not very active and reluctant to get hit.
