PBF is not the type of boxer that end careers....so what he fought themm before...he either pitty pat them or bordem to death...Cotto is a punisher type of boxer andif it would have been other way around them you would have an srgument , but not with PBF pillow punching style...

Shane in his prime would have beat Fraud also.
At least Cotto took on the bigger challenge in SHane rather than the small Hatton.

FLoyd also faught all these guys long before cotto and many of these guys now are considered shot and were considered nothing more than an oppoent when Cotto took them on. The Zab fight was beautiful but if you saw both fight......

Floyd had a much easier time by purly boxing the ears off of Zab while Cotto struggled far more to get a burtal win. I'm not discrediting Cotto bc he's a champion and it's well deserved but on the same note Floyd is P4P king with out any doubt which he worked for and deserves as well. Pairing the two in a fight would be a benefit to the fans for sure, but to give Cotto the nod in beating Floyd isn't the smartest thing to do.

He can preform at the highest level (Cotto) but preforming doesn't mean he'll win....Hatton was able to preform at the highest level and He got a shot of reality when he stepped up to face Floyd as would Cotto. I'm just happy he's got some balls to want to take the challenge....something that Joe C could learn from both Hatton and cotto.

Floyd does not have as much punching power as other fighters, but pitty pat punches are a style of punches. Quick arm punches, like those that amateurs often throw just to score punches. Floyd throws his punches with POWER. Floyd has the accuracy, technique, and hand speed that he can wind up into his punches and put all his power into them. Watch when he puts punches together, he does't even throw combinations in the traditional sense. He gets set for each individual punch, putting everything he's got into them. He 'winds up' for each punch.

There is no way you can say Floyd is a pitty pat puncher.

Floyd opponent's even say he hits harder than they expected.

Also that long list of opponents Orishman listed means nothing. What he neglects to mention, is how those fighters changed since fighting Floyd.

When Floyd fought Sosa, he was ranked as a top 135 lb fighter, but had only had one fight (against a bum) before fighting Cotto.

Justin Juuko was considered a good prospect, but before he fought Cotto, was KNOCKED OUT twice and decisioned once.

Corley was considered a tough contender. And Floyd's fight with Corley can't really be compared to Cotto's, as Floyd fought that fight not just to win, but to show his fans he can brawl stand toe to toe an slug with an opponent. And Floyd did, he squared off with him and slugged it out! It was just a UD, but Floyd knocked him down TWICE in their fight.

When Floyd fought Judah, it was to set up a fight with Baldomir (who had just beaten Zab, in one of Zab's WORST performances). When Cotto fought Zab, it was after Zab had had two bad losses. Zab's only time in the ring between the two BAD losses to Baldomir an Floyd, was a 1 round NC against Ruben Galven. Zab effectively spent a year off, then in his first real fight back, fought Cotto, and gave Cotto plenty of trouble (though he didn't really win any rounds, he still gave Cotto a decent amount of trouble)

You have to look at these things with some perspective.

Once again, STYLES MAKE FIGHTS, so none of this **** even matters. BUT, what is a more impessive win? A knockout win where you take a lot of clean shots yourself, or a UD when you win most rounds, and are only hit a couple of times cleanly.

Just because a fight is more EXCITING doesn't mean the outcome is more impressive.

I'm sorry but Judah is past his time...the guy had been knocked out to the highest level of knocked outedness by Zoo...He lost to spinks and was beaten by Baldomir and handled by Mayweather and then you want to act like Cotto is beating some world beater...Cotto beating Judah is not any bigger than Mayweather beating Diego...and Mayweather beat Diego years ago...

Cotto only has an old Mosley on his record...thats his step up in comp...Floyd was calling out Mosley years ago...before he was 27. Cotto is 27 and he is just now stepping up...Floyd stepped up well before this last year and his P4P ranking takes into account all the things you would rather dispute than comprehend...
