Competition is killing boxing. We need more weight divisions.

As boxing fans, we all know that there's nothing worse than our favorite fighters losing. It's also no fun to see a once-competitive contender never the same again because he faced too many good opponents and got into too many wars.

Bridgerweight, along with a few other divisions, can solve all that. Adding bridger, junior bridger, super bridger, junior heavyweight, super heavyweight, and the dreadnought division, each with four belts, will create enough belts for every half-decent heavyweight currently competing to hold one.

Contenders will no longer have to fight each other in career-shortening, "0"-destroying fights. We will be able to look forward to a much more peaceful heavyweight scene, shorn of its toxic competitiveness. Everyone can be a champion.

As a community, boxing must learn to be accepting of all weights, which are each special in their own way.

But it's also no fun to see 400 differents champions and since you would have the best fighters not fighting each other, well we wouldn't have a Lot of "career shortening "0"-destroying" fights.
Instead, we will have a Lot of "legacy tarnishing" fights with inferior tomato cans.
But yeah i think your post meant to be sarcastic.

I think we need more recognised bodies handing out belts too.

It doesn't seem fair that only 4 people get to be champion per division. I think 15-20 belts would do it. That way Chisora V Parker would be a unification bout. Much more exciting.

This is a good start, but in addition to more weight divisions, we need height subdivisions to make it more fair.
    Just think:

    Short Junior Lightweight
    Medium Junior Lightweight
    Tall Junior Lightweight

    Short Lightweight
    Medium Lightweight
    Tall Lightweight

    Short Super Lightweight
    Medium Super Lightweight
    Tall Super Lightweight

Perhaps age subs-sub divisions should also be added:

    Short Junior Lightweight Young
    Short Junior Lightweight Prime
    Short Junior Lightweight Aged

    Medium Junior Lightweight Young
    Medium Junior Lightweight Prime
    Medium Junior Lightweight Aged

    Tall Junior Lightweight Young
    Tall Junior Lightweight Prime
    Tall Junior Lightweight Aged

Each class will have a Super champ, A Regular Champ, an Interim Champ and the Congeniality Champ

We can further divide by motivated and unmotivated belts, to avoid unfairly forcing fighters who've just decided to go through the motions like Tokyo Tyson to fight motivated opponents.

Good point, but of course we don't want unification fights - it's always sad when a champion loses.

Thinking too small, every pound from 100-300 lbs is a major weight division, every 1/2 pound is the new Super/Jr of that weight division

We need Tireweight! Fighters with the biggest bellies must duke it out.
