In which case, there is no level ground. Justice was done when that 1st fight was called a draw because no way were they going to give it Marquez, even if he did win the more rounds, which he did by a considerable margin. I had Marquez winning both fights as did a lot of other people, let's just leave it at that.

 

thats cause even if you win more rounds, you can still lose a fight where you got knocked down 3 times. Those are the rules of the sport. If the ref rules it a knockdown then you lose a point (though in one case Marquez didn't lose a point for a knockdown)

I never hated a fighter as much as I do Wlad, he represents everything I hate in a Heavyweight, aside from his serious power. I respect his skills, but he doesnt have the balls if you will, to fight back when the tables are turned, when he's not doing the punching. If it was any other era, especially the 90's, his glass chin and mental weakness would be nothing more than an easy target for guys with good chins and could bang, like the Bowe's and Tysons of the division.

 

I'm usually very objective, which is easy because generally speaking, I just don't like boxers (although I love the sport). But I think I'm getting to the point where I'm shitting on Junior Witter for the sake of it. I hate that mofo so much due to his constant harping on about Hatton. Oh yes, and the Hatton haters who believe that Witter can actually beat him (yeah, right).

I also hated Prince Nazeem with venom after he knocked out Steve Robinson, as Robinson was someone I admired greatly.

Joe Calzaghe is a GREAT fighter and the only "excuse" us Americans can use, (not fighting on our soil) will be gone on April 19th.

 

I am a die hard Pavlik nuthugger. Right after the McKart fight I predicted he would take Taylor out in 8 rounds. This is a bit odd because even though Pavlik took him out in 7, I actually think I was wrong! In retrospect I now believe if Kelly would have gone directly from McKart to Taylor without the 3 fights that happend in between, JT would have beat him.

I used to hate Taylor, but his first fight with Pavlik made me a fan. The man fought his heart out.

I think Calzaghe is one of the most over-rated fighters of my lifetime. He really psissed me off when he called pavlik out, and then ran down to the nursing home and picked a fight with BHop. Pavlik demolished Taylor. slappy Joe called Kelly out, and then before any other fights were made, Slappy elects to fight the guy JT beat twice! WTF!

Sergio Mora is a punk ass *****. I have been hoping against hope for McKart/Mora. I would buy a $100 PPV just to watch an aging and ring weary junior middleweight beat the life right out of the latin fake.

And one more: Miguel Cotto is UNSTOPPABLE!

Joe Calzaghe handily defeated Mikkel Kessler, who was ranked the #2 Supermiddleweight at the time. You don't handily defeat a boxer of his calibre with slaps. Let's get real.

Joe Calzaghe is considerably faster than Pavlik, with both hand and foot. Now considering Calzaghe has rarely been hurt in his entire career, I have no reason to believe Pavlik will connect enough times to knock Calzaghe out. If he doesn't knockout Calzaghe, he won't win as far as I'm concerned. Just my opinion.

 

Agreed, I would give guys like Ruddick, Morrison, Bruno, and Mccall, at least a 50/50 against him as well. His weaknesses over ride his skills IMO, and it's only a matter of time before he's exposed again, even in this weak era, it's bound to take place again.

I respect the fact he has boxing ability, but having a chin as weak as his in the Heavyweight division is dangerous.
