Agree was fantastic night for boxing. Only downer was crowd during main event. After the Yorkshire chants early on was way too quiet.

There was something about last night that just made it feel like Sky care again. It's been missing for a long time IMO.

With shows like that and some (albeit very little) boxing back on terrestrial TV, we just might start seeing some interest from casual fans/the public.

Looks like a good arena and I was happy to see people in their seats for the last 3 fights.

  9. Yep, can only add to what's been said already.

Boxing promoter actually promoting..... wow

Too often these days they just book a venue, and select the weakest realistic opponent possible for each fighter, not making any effort to promote the event, the undercard fighters and what not.

Sky did a superb job with the preview show, and the undercard turned out way better than anyone could have predicted.

If they keep it up, can be great for British boxing.

Eddie Hearn has been a great addition to British boxing.

Possibly the most important addition of the past 10 years. But Ssshhhh-Don't want Eddie getting any more smug!

    :good

I was thinking that. It was like a better version all round of the nights Frank and Sky used to charge £15 for. While he's putting on **** 'world title' fights with dire undercards on an obscure channel nobody is watching, I think we've probably found Britain's new no.1 promoter.:happy

The best news is we've probably got this again for Froch v Bute in a couple of months.

Tbf this is why we need BoxNation to stick around. Sky/Matchroom have definitely upped their game since Frank left and just shows the importance of competition. Hopefully BN/FW have a good riposte and it will only be good for boxing fans:happy

How will everyone feel when Eddie inevitably lets them down?

Eddie is 'net savvy, and listens. He'll take it on board and adapt, or become irrelevant. Frank never adapts, he does the same thing over and over again.

Eddie will want to keep making money for years and Sky seem to be making a decent enough effort with boxing at the mo'.
