Well done Ricky Burns great performance, As for Gomez he should def try training or something, great guy who makes boxing what it is, I really think Gomez could have achieved a hell of alot more had he kept his head down when he was younger, but he achieved a great deal, his fight against Arthur is one of my fav of all time.

glad to hear it jeff, if he brings 20% of what he brought to press conferences and fights up and down the country, into the gym, then young boxers will take on the "fire in the belly" approach that sometimes they need to get them up for a bout

He has loads to offer technically and knows every trick in the book, he's also arguably the best infighter from the uk for many years! He is a cracking fella and has that upfront attitude that makes him incredibly unique- sports network really impressed me last night with the way they treated mike, dean Powell and all the chaps u see at the show were so sad to see him finish his career. Antony farmell was on the phone within seconds checking that mike was ok- quality and truly touching. That's why boxing is so great.

think he was watchin a different fight billy, i thought he looked fresh and accurate, and if the ref had'nt been on his case he would have done better, i even thought he could have finished the fight the way he did much earlier if he had just opened up like that.

Thought that was the best Ricky has ever looked - had more strength and power and that (IMO) is exactly what he needed.

From what i hear, Burns LIVES like a fighter and how a fighter should live. He deserves every success he gets.

I think what Scrap is saying is that Burns is never going to get beyond this level. A peak Gomez would've done a proper job on Burns. RB looks handy enough but he got rattled by a shot fighter. Good luck to him in the fututre though.
