You would be surprised if you knew how many boxers end up in debt to their promoter :)

It's obviously the biggest money maker, and yes it is a big fight with the correct marketing push- but I really wonder if it is as 'massive' as they say it is.

A lot of the sales pitch for this is based on the fights between the Dads. As good as these fights were, took place 34 & 31 years ago which means anyone under 40 likely doesn't remember them - that is a huge section of your average arena attending / ppv buying market.

On top of this, neither of them are top level world class, and in Conors case its questionable if he is even British level.

As much as the YouTube channels try to push Eddie's narrative that Conor is one of the biggest names in boxing - the facts are he's never had any large level of fanbase. His most recent fights he headlined have been In function rooms, and before that it was a less than half full UK arena.

This is only big because it features Eubank JR. I imagine in negotiations he could demand what he wants

The thing is, the demographic that do remember the halcyon days of the Benn Eubank era, (ie me, I was in basic during the first fight, and was "allowed," to watch it, in-between beasting sessions) think Conor Benn is an absolute unlikable little twat, and Eubank is a smoke and mirrors fighter, I wouldn't pay for this crap, no matter how they hyped it.

Mssrs Benn and Eubank snr walked the walk, their sons, have flattered to deceive, at best, especially Benn who's beaten absolutely nobody.
