It's definitely a step up. Hopefully Mikey knows it's on a big enough stage to want to get the win. Entertaining fight, regardless.

I haven't heard anything for a while about a potential Benn opportunity since Ramirez team turned the fight down. Hearn and Benns team said they were playing on getting to fight in August in a big fight, yet I haven't heard Hearn speak on Benn for a while now.
I wonder if Eddie Hearn is focusing and using all his energy on Usyk vs AJ II on August 20th + Canelo vs Golovkin III in September...

Over 3 years ago Mikey accepted that it was the end and took the Spence Jnr fight as it was win win for him as long as he didn't get stopped. He should have never fought at 147 but once he made that jump that was it. He's old, you might say he's not as he's 34 but he's had 42 fights in a 16 year career but only 1 in nearly two and a half years. At times he dazzled but he was starting to fade just before the Spence Jnr fight. Benn needs to grow a pair and take on some of the relevant fighters in his division, you can't give it Buster Gonad and then go looking for shot guys over and over again.
Maybe another stay busy fight against someone like Luiz Collazo or maybe they could encourage Paulie Malignaggi out of retirement for one last hurrah? The important thing for Benn is that he stays busy for the next few years.
Would be a great fight for Benn against a top class former world champ and another great name to put on his already growing resume.
