In a boxing match? No thanks. Hybrid rules would be interesting, but in a boxing match there's only one winner and it isn't McGregor.

What would be the point? Conor gets out boxed silly and possibly ko'd in a boxing match. Would be the biggest con job in boxing history.

    No weight limit

& Connor would get KO'd by a 122 pound Rigo in a couple of rounds lmao.

Mcgregor and the UFC are copying Mayweather's blueprint I. Each. Money, paychecks etc.

A boxing match wouldn't go half a round and I can't see floyd accepting kicks / wrasslin

If a video of sparring emerged I would be keen to check it out. But an actual fight? Nah, it would be an embarrassment.

It'd probably be the most powerful puncher Floyd would have faced and McGregor does have some interesting uses of angles and movement, but he's too come forward for Floyd not to just pick off all night.

McGregor was an amateur boxer and nationally very good.
He'd without a doubt be the physically strongest AND the hardest raw puncher Mayweather's ever faced.

A nuance about McGregor is that he is what he says he is, a master of 'movement'. He's the taller guy with the longer reach, too.

I can expect McGregor to realise Mayweather shuts down when he's being bullied and manhandled..but he won't have the sufficient skill to enact what he sees of Floyd's vulnerabilities.

In MMA, Conor would finish Floyd. I would bet A LOT of money on that if I were a betting man.

Mayweather would box his ears off, idk if he knocks him out as Mcgregor has cheen

I've seen a few videos of top mms guys at boxing gyms, and they always get their ass beat. I was just watching the UFC MW champ Luke Rockhold sparring at a local gym, and lower level guys were just dominating him, made him look silly, and he's one of the ufc's p4p best

Also there's a rumor going around that Deontay Wilder sparred former ufc hw champ again Velasquez in mma rules, and Wilder suplexed him and knocked him out cold

Ironically McGregor's opponent Diaz and his brother are supposed to be a pretty handy boxers. They spar with some bible bashing billy goat from Oakland.

Diaz bros have great boxing, especially as far as the mma world goes. Long night for Mcgregor imo, if nate's smart he'll stay on his back foot and pepper him with jabs and one twos

Their boxing is very, very effective even if it doesn't look the greatest. If McGregor stops Diaz, especially early like he predicted, it will be quite some statement.
