I don't get what they achieved tonight Benn will have learned 0 from the fight.

    They sold very few tickets

I don't think he it the draw for the casuals as they make out.

I think they either need to **** or get off the pot with him. If not people will start to get bored of it all.

Very fair point. No denying he was on the gear too but he said he was in bits after losing his brother. Think we agree on Conor.

So hard not to have mixed feelings about Benn. On the one hand he's been navigated by Hearn, blowing out guys who have had long hard careers and don't have a lot of fight left in them. In all cases (Algeri, Granados, Van Heerden) they were never elite fighters, but all had good careers. On the other hand he's undoubtedly fun to watch, I can certainly imagine the casual enjoying his completely reckless style.

The fight that makes the most sense all round is McKinson. He's not unbeatable by any means, but presents an awkward style, a high ranking and a willingness to fight anyone.

Filter out who is the best welter in the UK, then you can discuss a step up.

Although Benn has been in with decent (not in their prime) boxers like Algieri & Vargas, they are deliberately not matching him with anyone who has a good KO record. I think that's because Benn struggled early on with a somewhat puncher in Peynaud. Until I see him against someone who can punch, the jury is still out for me in terms of how far he can go.

The Avanesyan fight would be a great test to see actually how good he is. But I still don't think Benn is ready for that until he fights a somewhat live opponent, rather than someone at the end of their career.

Has now been pro for 6 years, hasn’t fought for a British or European title. Constantly fights semi retired fighters.

It will all end in tears as soon as he does step up to British/European level and someone puts it on him.

One of the journalists at the post-fight presser pitched Stanionis as an opponent for Benn to Hearn and he refused that too as ‘you have to let me play the game’

Thurman and Danny Garcia too big too strong too elite for that little runt BENNE. Both stop him. Kid was eating flush punches on the way in against that shot old feather fisted springbok last night.

MIKEY Garcia fits the match room mould far better, a 35 year old name featherweight with no pop at welter. Is he shot to pieces enough yet for hearns and sons to "roll the dice"? He would be my pick. Broner fits the bill perfectly too. Shot to hell old name fighter looking for a payday.

They'll continue to DUCK avenysan obvs.

Conor Benn is developing fine as a boxer right now, but he has no chance against Avanesyan.

Now we are all waiting in excitement for the huge fight that awaits Conor Benn this summer :)

Conman Benn will be stepping up to fight Amir Con next year on DAZN UK PPV now the seed has been planted to the 37 people who subscribe to DAZN UK.

Earn should be embarrassed at wheeling the shell that is Ameer Con into the ring last night.

This is why people are turning against Matchroom FC and not subscribing to DAZN UK.

The annoying thing is the lack of humility. I actually think these are probably the right fights for Benn as he isnt ready for top level opponents by any standard but at least this gets him experience under the lights but dont pretend your mike tyson second coming because you knock out basically retired fighters.

Yes, it was a sad sight, but I think Eddie Hearn does not care. He's very close to announcing the next big fight for Derek Chisora. A boxer who is completely finished.

In connection with Amir Khan vs Kell Brook, I remember Eddie Hearn saying that it is always dangerous when boxers only fights for the sake of money :)
