It's only me that thinks that. And, as I've said previously, I don't believe it's the very worst era for Heavys, and not even H2H. The contenders are ****, but I'd comfortably pick Vitali and Wlad to beat the likes of Sharkey, Jeffries, Johnson, Fitz and Burns.

Doesn't mean I don't rate the old timers for what they did in their own time.

You do know hypothesising on a forum is just a bit of fun? And I think most would agree that using small bits of footage and reading a lot of old reports doesn't give you a perfect grasp on a fighter.

Again, not sure what I've said to make you think I hold these opinions. Luckily, the small footage we have of Corbett show him being pretty bad by todays standards.

I dunno' what point you're trying to make about Robinson, if we wasn't at his peak at middle (and he was at his physical peak there IMO) then it only goes to show what a great fighter he was, because he was still astounding there up until he was really past his best. Even then he managed to reclaim the title from Bobo Olson.

Not sure why my opinions of what fighter Sullivan may have been judging by primary accounts of the time is such a big deal in the grand scheme of things? I never said 'no one loses' either, again, that's against what I usually say and as you're putting words in my mouth (again) you're setting yourself up for ridicule.

Usually when someone says 'who would win out of Fighter A and Fighter B' you would imagine them on their best respective nights and use opponents of a similar style to gauge how the styles were clash.

How does this mean 'they would always beat them if they met each other organically in the process of two simultaneously running career trajectories'?
